Re: Who is the most complete player in the NBA?

Also, you said in your earlier post,

"Appearently, he can only be sucessful if he has 3 other all stars on his team..."

Well, he has 0 the last two years and made the playoffs in the West while taking Phoenix to 7 games...sooo...you're wrong, pretty simple. Yes he has very good players this year, but he's also 2nd in the Western conference, only a HALF game behind the first place Spurs, so that's about as successful as anyone can be.
And I'm not a Kobe "slurper," in fact I'm not really a big fan of his, but I use my logic before I make irrational statements like the one I quoted in this post. Overall however, I do think LeBron is better.

    LeBron
Stronger drives and finishes, can get hit and make the basket
His midrange game is not bad, but he takes ******** fadeaways that piss me off.
    Rebounding superior to Kobe
Passing Superior to Kobe(only by a bit)
Seems to be an easier guy to get along with as a teammate
Doesn't seem to have as big an ego as Kobe
In the clutch won't make an amazing fadeaway like Kobe, because he's not a shooter, but will drive and get the basket nonetheless, just not as dramatically, so his last second play is overlooked sometimes
Underrated defense, will give you a couple steals and a block every game, and has decent man to man

    Kobe
Just as good a finisher as James, but uses finesse more than strength
Midrange game is excellent, and above average 3 point shooter
Will to win not matched by anyone currently
Very clutch and a terrifying guy to shoot if you're the opponents and up by 1
    Very good defense
Has become very unselfish for the sake of the team winning this year, but can still take a game over at any time.

This has the makings of a Bird-Magic duel is Bron gets more teammates, they might meet in the finals a couple of years..

T-Mac very nice post. I do disagree with Lebron over Kobe and Also these two players should not be compared with aforementioned. Different era, different ages, and different players. Once again though very nice post.

And taken a "break" from operation forums is not going to kill me.

That's scary. Dude's only 28, going on 29 until really late this year. Seems like he's 34-35 years old.

Different ages, yes. Kobe came into the league in the mid 90's which was a much more difficult league then it was since 02. Larry and Magic came into the league together and left together.

Different eras, yes. Kind of self explanatory. The early 80's to mid 90's were years of amazing basketball due mostly in part to Larry and Magic.

Also Larry and Magic made the NBA and took it to it's highest level (M.J. included) and every since those three it has been a dramatic decline.

Kind of off topic but why do people make a big deal at what age players hit a certain milestone... if a player comes out early or skips college its obvious he will hit his milestones at a earlier age. What should be important is how many seasons or games it took for the milestone. People saying kobe won his first title at a younger age than jordan without looking at the amount seasons it took is just dumb.

I agree. I don't really care about what age someone won what at. If you are a 4 year NBA vet you are still a four year NBA vet no matter of age.

I agree on some levels, but not on others.

It really works both ways. Kobe and Lebron had more chances than a Jordan or any other 3-4 year college player, but at the same time, their career numbers (especially efficiency) are lowered. It's silly to expect an 18 year old to play at the same ability as a 21 year old.
