    Re: Lebron vs. Kobe?

Lebron has exceptional athleticism very good size and speed but...
has weak jump shot passing, weak understanding of the game no low post game has to learn fundamentals (some years at college would help) and no D at all. he is just overhyped by media and all you writing the name of MJ and Bron at the same paragraph you just watch to many highlights and nike adverts.
You should watch Lebron at the Olympics failing again for another year cause he has to many weaknesses in his game... Kobe will shine and give the gold to US along Melo. Bron and Wade are going to be horibble again.
so Kobe is my choice by far.

LeBron's defense is just as good as Kobe's probably even better. I remember when they faced off in LA and LeBron shut him down when they went at each other. But they both sagged on D for the most part.

To be honest, every scorer in the league plays some lazy defense. This was even true with my boy MJ. Michael won DPOY in, I think '87. From that point he sagged a little each year on D. The same is true with Kobe and LeBron. Why Kobe gets credit for being a 2-way player is laughable. He plays D when he wants to. Just like LeBron and Mike.

I just think LeBron can play exceptional D when he wants to.

The obvious biggest component of going with LBJ, is that he is only 23. That's where this case is closed.
I have to disagree LBJ doesn't have any kind of a post up game where as Kobe can play anywhere on the floor on O. Kobe is a way better FT shooter and has a better Jumper. Lebron scores a lot of his points just bowling over people and making lay ups or dunks. Im not saying that he cant shoot because he can but he isnt has as good as Kobe in that area. I guess you are right about them on D they both do play when they want to but I still give Kobe the edge. I think that Mike Brown is holding back Lebron as a player because he sucks as a coach, but that is a different arguement.

        Re: Lebron vs. Kobe?

Saying Lebron is better at every facet of the game is a direct shot at Kobe's shooting ability...

I don't know how you can make a statemnt like that when Kobe is clearly a better shooter than Lebron.

This thread has no credibility when the OP is clearly stuck on Lebron's balls and is a Kobe *****.

Well, I sort of agree. It's pretty close however. LeBron isn't near the shooter that Kobe is, but is a better passer, defender and driver to the line.

I think LeBron has been the best player in the NBA for at least two years now.

Then why is Kobe on 1st team all defense if LeBron is a better defender?
Lebron doesnt have that extra level just yet. Where he can just take over the game completely, like we have seen Kobe do. LeBron has shown signs of that, but isnt there yet. Thats what puts Kobe on top, his killer instinct.

I seem to remember a little game against Detriot...

Plus, Cleveland was number one in the league in coming back to win the game after losing in the first three quarters, which is all due to LeBron

Well, tell Lebron to bring it in the 1st,2nd and 3rd quarters.

He shouldn't need fans heckling him to get all fired up and killing fools.

Funny thing that year Kobe was out in the 1st round something Lebron has never experienced.

I don't buy the whole 'clutch' FT's thing. The fact is Lebron is a poor FT shooter and as good as he is.. that should not be the case. Low 70%? That's ridiculous for the perimeter player that he is. He's actually gotten worse since his rookie year.

He hits them when it counts and it doesn't hurt his team so the % doesn't matter. It's funny his % raises 15+% when the game is on the line.

Anyway, building a team around either of these guys for a simple season is going to be a winning situation. Since age and future don't play a factor here, I'd probably lean towards Kobe. He's been there, done that. His midrange game is money.

It's not as money as everyone says but it's better than Lebrons. The Celtics exploited Kobe's shooting they forced him into a jump shooter and he failed.

He probably paces himself for the 48 minutes where he has to do everything.Like he said if the game is close then the opposing team is going to lose 85% of the time.

Not true...You should see what he said when Bosh's girl was talking smack to him in that game in Toronto in March.

                          Re: Lebron vs. Kobe?

Kobe is a better shooter than LeBron but not as efficient of a player and LeBron has outsted Kobe the last 3 years or so in every other facet of the game including in the clutch, steals rebounding assists and fg%

Honestly though, i'd start the team depending on what my team needed the most, and it's really getting old talking the who's better than who and all of this crap.

There isnt a player in this generation that has succeeded Shaq and Tim Duncan as the most productive most efficient and dominant players since MJ left the game.

If I had to choose, it'd definitely be Lebron. Younger, stronger just as athletic if not more and is frankly more of a team player. He can take over games when he needs to. Kobe is a better shooter but I think Bron makes up for it with his ability to get to the basket almost at will, both are pretty streaky though. Probably would get less off the court distractions as well.
