And Lebron had 58% more "clutch time" in 12 more games. I have a feeling that those additional minutes and games were not against the Spurs, Pistons, and Celtics.

And for what it's worth, Manu has easily the best clutch stats in the league.

4th quarter comebacks being a badge of honor is really stupid. I'm sure if the Lakers, Hornets, Spurs, Jazz, Rockets, Pistons, Magic, or Celtics really wanted to, they could have toyed with the bottom teams and made some comebacks. Give me a 30 point lead in the third over a comeback opportunity any day.

I don't care about injecting Manu or the Pistons into this conversation. This is all about kobe and lebron and their clutch ratings.

It's been this way for some time now, even back to the in 05-06 season that people claimed Kobe was the MVP but that was hardly the case when you carefully looked at what LeBron did and much better.

The other players' clutch ratings are entirely relevant to the conversation. Does it not seem a little odd that Lebron's clutch minutes are 30 minutes higher than anyone else's, 80 minutes higher than Kobe's, and 75 minutes higher than any 4 seed or better team's player?

I'm willing to bet that Lebron got more minutes that qualify as "clutch time" against significantly worse opponents than any other player.

Im willing to bet that he has done this consistently the past 3 years regardless of what you would consider his time played.

The same year Kobe Bryant took more than 200+ shots than LeBron he still came up short in comparison to Kobe.

This isnt about time and quantity as much as it is quality. As I said, he is the more efficient player and that has nothing to do with more time, its just the flat out truth.

I would take LeBron, all day every day. He is a force of nature.

In my opinion, if you put LeBron on that Lakers team, it would have been a lot tougher for the C's.

This is coming from a Celtics fan who witness them both.

I recall everyone before the Finals saying kobe won't struggle like Lebron because he's a better shooter.

The bad thing once Lebron learned what they were doing he put up 33+ a game for 3 games straight something Kobe couldn't do.

Kobe's defense is overrated also.Did you people see what Pierce did to him offensively and defensively? Kobe's a good defender and could be a top defender in the league if he weren't one of the top offensive players but you have to take one because a player can't guard the teams opposing player and run the offense every game not enough stamina

                Has anybody denied that?

If Lebron would stop shooting the 3, he'd be completely unstoppable.

lol You are a true Celtics fan aren't ya? The guy that was guarding Pierce was Vladamir Radmanovic, he's white. Kobe didn't guard Pierce.

So white people are bad at defending players? Now Vlad man is a particular bad defender, but has nothing to do with him being white.

Anyway, i'm stunned people think Kobe is a better defender. LeBron has been a VERY good defender these past few years. LeBron is also the better teammate, passer, and driver. People make the All-Defensive team based purely on rep anymore. I'm mean, for God sake, Shane Battier didn't make the first team all D.

Kobe can shoot...and do nothing better than LeBron.

That was not my point. My point was to distinguish him from Kobe, Vlad is white, Kobe isn't. Just in case he wasn't getting them mixed up, ya know?

I know Kobe was guarding Rondo but at the end of the game it was Kobe vs. Pierce.

Also can someone explain the better teammate part I've been seeing in this topic alot. Thanks in advance.

Neither are great defensively because they have too many Offensive responsibilities.

Kobe is better at steals and Lebron is better at blocks.Man to man defense they're both about the same.

Difference is though Kobe can guard point guards and Lebron can guard power forwards
