His wingspan is freakin huge though. That makes him really like a normal 6'4 player.

Seems bad from both sides to me unless you're looking at the freeing up of money for the Pistons. Guess they could have another deal planned.

08-09 - 6.7 (Melo was out 2 gms, and ineffective when he came back)

Besides...I would say Iverson is the 2nd best scorer (Lebron 1st) during the last couple years of players who ranked in the top 10 in assists.

If I'm his coach I want him filling it up too, and not always looking to pass first like the prototypical PG would.

Regarding the trade...

I don't know what to make of it. I thought Detroit had the best chemistry yr to yr bringing back their core of players: Wallace, Rip, Chauncey, Prince, McDyess...

Only time will tell how this one affects the teams involved and league.

Iverson has never been a PG. His mentality doesn't think like a PG. He's not a PG. He's a scoring guard in a PG's body. The reason why he gets alot of assists is because the offense runs through him because he does best when he has control of the ball.

i rank them higher. this team is gritty and built like a much better version of the 01 sixers. it's the best team AI has been a part of, and that will show come playoff time. that's my bold prediction since everyone likes to play it so safe.

This isn't like the '01 Sixers. On the '00/'01 team, he controlled the ball and there was no set offense. The offense was Iverson and only Iverson. In Detroit, he IS going to have to run an offense and he can't. That's not how he plays ball.

LB left, and each coach after Brown asked Iverson to sacrifice his scoring for the good of the team. Guess what, Iverson minus scoring and Minus Playing the Passing Lanes is not really Allen Iverson. Of course his teams struggled.

On Iverson there was a stat on who was the last person to finish in the top ten in ppg and apg, he has done it for four straight years. Hardly a ball hog, black hole.

Sorry, I meant not named "Michael Jordan or Wilt". Career PPG, 3rd All-Time. If "best, most consistent scorer" is not what career PPG means, then I guess I was wrong. And he's easily the best player under 6'0" in league history.

FYI I was a sixers fan before AI came, I was an AIfan since Georgetown(love college sports) became a hardcore fan when they drafted them... Before ai my fav team was Orlando(love penny, why I like Memphis)

Wow, so I call AI a shoot first PG and I "my points are lame" and "I don't know anything?"

Sheesh.

Billups is going to do wonders for the Nuggets, he'll be a (slightly) worse version of Steve Nash. AI will take as many shots as he wants now. Is that a good thing or bad thing? I don't know.

I think both players needed a change and Billups got the better change. We'll see.

Iverson is a ball hog. He can't play in a set offense. It's AI dribbling around. Difference between AI and Money/Kobe is the latter could both play in set offenses.

to people that says ai dosent pass or he is a ball hog obviously dosent watch bball and to me ai will be fine in detroit just for the simple fact they play GOOD D which is cursing in denver AI shot alot in philly because he had to when your lineup is Snow AI Lynch Tyrone Hill and Mutumbo what do you expect and as far as billups is concerned he is a hell of a player but sometimes (especially in the playoffs) he disapears
