The Young Kids should have been in college...

Washington will lose 70 games next year, and could have made the playoffs this year. They just quit on Collins and MJ.

Boo Hoo! Mike yelled at me.

            Wahhhh! Coach thinks I'm soft.

Mommy told me that I should get the most touches on this team.

            Whatever.

These guys are paid to perform. I have to go to work and do my job whether I like it or not.

I have to eat, I have to have a place to live, etc. These million dollar prisses are crying cause they don't like how they are being treated by a coach and a crippled old guy, during a GAME.

Dixon is fine, he's done his time in school and is pretty mature, I would think, but Jefferies and Brown should be in college.

Now that I am on it, Lebron James should be in college as well. I don't care how mature he seems, he is 18. Kwame was 18 or 19.

And as far as the entire let the kids play thing goes, the kids should be able to play. If they can't they should not be in the league.

Heck, it's stupid to give most of these High School Players that much money. I don't care how good they are gonna be ONE DAY. Let them earn their money then.

It's like my current girlfriend. She's 18. Graduated top of her class; brilliant as whatever, but stupid as hell. Why?

She's 18. She can't think outside of high school, and neither can these so-called phenoms. They are all about themselves, and have no sense of responsiblity or consequence.

Mike did not have to be in DC to run the team. Being a GM is mostly scouting and making calls. Abe Pollin questioned Mike's work ethic just because he wasn't in DC and that's laughable. Pollin just wanted Mike to pose with him in the owner's box for 41 games so it would drive interest for each game for the fans. Mike started to that at 1st, but couldn't stand watching this pitiful franchise play. There were times that he would have a tantrum in the owner's box. He didn't want to be exposed to that each home game and he knew a camera would always be aimed his way.

I don't understand how a man, that had a great 2002 draft (Dixon and Jefferies); cleared cap room by getting rid of the outrageous contracts of Howard, Richmond, and Strickland, is regarded as one of the worst GM's in the NBA. He should've gotten an opportunity to finish what he started. I guess Pollin is taking his money (82 straight home sell-out during Mike's tenure) and running.

Exactly, Jsupastar. Mvb34 is just a Jordan-*****.

Mvb34, I guess Jerry West should be fired from the Grizzlies. I mean, they didn't make the playoffs. Matter of fact, they didn't really come close to making them.

Jerry West is a proving winner. He has been with the Griz for one year and they surpass they franchise win total.

A lot you guys is confussing basketball Mike with GM Mike.
Mike was one of the greatest players in NBA history but his GM skills was garbage!!! You can't be GM on the golf course!!

The Wizards hasn't been good for 25 years and won't be good until there is another owner in DC... Jordan didn't help other then gates and jersey sales...

                    Re: Jordan Out in Washington

I think I am somewhat close to this situation.. Being that I was born and raised in Chicago.. and now living Washington DC. Metro area.

This debacle.. surely lets the Bulls off the Hook for screwing with Mike..

The Wizards have surpassed the Bulls in so many ways in this one.....

I don't like the Wiz at all, but I do know MJ.. brought a buzz to this sorry town.... MJ presence here only helped the Wiz on the court and in the GM Box...

In his first days as GM, people actually wanted to go see a wizards game.. Before his arrival they couldn't give Wizards tickets away.. Circus tickets was tougher ticket in town, then wasting your time going to see the wizards..

Where doese this leave Abe and the Wizards in the same sorry state they were in before he arrived.. they at least owed him a year to see what he can do,

Hell think about it....there still would have been interest in MJ being the GM..= Wizards/DC on the Basketball Map!

Now Abe/Wizards can go back to the basketball obscurity..

                    Thanks Abe..

                    Jordan back to Chicago Hopefull!

P.S. it was good to see MJ driving away in his convertible with ILLINOIS plates!

They wanted him to become a DC guy, be on the Job full time.. be a DC poster child!

                        Re: Jordan Out in Washington

Sure, Jordan made some questionable moves but can you blame him if that certain player he brought in did more complaining than actually playing? I'm thinking Jordan knows full-well how the Wiz players can play to their full-extent, they just didn't bring it. Heck, he said so himself he wasn't gonna try to carry the team but he ended up carrying them anyway.

I don't even get why Stack couldn't play as well as he could with Jordan for 1 year. He should have stepped up but only did so a few times.

Now don't bash Jordan for being a bad GM since he's only been one for 3 years. You should credit the fact that he actually improved the team and won more than they could remember.

This is kinda like when they traded CWebb, look at where he's at now. Pollin is just too impatient to win. He should realize the fact that Jordan was in the process of rebuilding. He can't turn them into contenders just like that. If he was given the chance to finish what he started, then you can judge him if he was bad or good.
