Whatever stance you guys have on this subject, you should at least accept the fact that MJ wasn't given a chance to complete what he set out to do in Washington.

His 1st year as a GM, they sucked. Improved on it his 2nd year before playing again. Identical record in his 3rd year. What does this say? You never really got to see him be a full-time GM with his new cast playing on their own without him as a teammate. If he was able to continue his post and do what he wanted do, assemble a winning franchise or not, then judge him.

I don't even get why people bash him as a bad GM even though he's only been one for 3 years. So don't compare him to someone like Jerry West GM-wise, that's unfair, seeing as he's been one for a long time.

He didn't show any work ethnic to the job!! Being on the golf course instead scouting.....

Ok Jerry West is to good to compare how about Joe Dumars

            Re: Jordan Out in Washington

I leave you to your opinions. In any case, Jordan's moves as Wizards GM will be graded on how they play next year. Will Brown/Haywood/Dixon/Jeffries blossom this year and so on? Unless Wizards management messes the roster up, that's what people will look at to comment on his GM ability.

When he does get control on a franchise though, then we'll see if he can be a great GM.

MVB34: What are you following MJ around? Who cares if he's on a golf course? Who cares if he's in Chicago? Don't you understand Pollin wanted Mike as a puppet? Pollin has no patience and that's why he let go of Chris Webber in 1998. I'm sure Mike's location wouldn't have been a problem if the Wizards were a winning team. Enough with the constant nitpicking already! Nobody thought in their right mind that Mike was going to make this team a contender in less than 4 years. No matter how you feel about him, the man was not given a fair shot to turn things around. He made the mistake in thinking that some of his players would perform. He was wrong and we who rooted for the Wizards because of him, were wrong too. This team was an ECF contender on paper at pre-season. Instead they become a whining bunch of sensative underachieving pus*ies. Who would've thunk?
