Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
My only concern if I were a Blazer fan would be whether they get the most out of him with their system. If they do, then this could be a very scary acquisition for them. If not, then Turk used his good years at Orlando to hustle a team into overpaying a 16ppg guy, lol.Comment

I don't see any of those guys as being the kind of player who has to dominate the ball or have X amount of touches to be effective. It obviously will take a while for them to learn to play off each other, but I think their talents are going to mesh nicely.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
I'm kind of surprised you said that, man. Turk and Roy are playmakers, and both of them are excellent without the ball. I think the offense becomes more fluid with Turk, not less so. Turk makes the game easier on other people with the ball in his hands, but backs off when someone else is hot. He's not afraid to take the late game shots, but he doesn't demand it either.

Roy is the consummate teammate, so I don't think it'll be a problem overall.
My only other concern is the contract. If it was 5 years 50 million, I would have liked to see him get a max of 4 years.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Marion is getting 8 million as an offer from Toronto...If he's smart he will accept. 4 years to boot.
I hope he doesn't...I'd rather go after Marvin or Marquis.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
and Portland was bidding against themselves...Hollinger made a great point about the fact that Toronto set their sights out for Marion, pretty much ending their pursuit of Hedo.
So Portland could've maybe tried to only make it a 4 year deal or maybe only make it 45 instead of 50 million.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
How quickly things can change. If you would have told me a couple of years ago that fans would be begging for their team not to sign a 31-year old Shawn Marion, at 8 mil per no less, I wouldn't have believed it.Jordan Mychal Lemos

3 years for 4.5 million total for a 40% 3 point shooter?
You aren't trading that unless he goes back overseasComment
