I'm pretty sure he did not get any death threats, and if he did, then it was little more than idiots who don't know what they were doing.

As for burning his jersey? Who cares?

And again, you're getting Cleveland fans motives confused. We aren't mad because he left, but how he did it. Sure, we'd be a little pissed if he left but not at the level that it is/was because of the Decision.

He dug his own hole. No reason to feel sorry for him, he knew what he was doing with a passionate sports city like Cleveland that is constantly getting kicked when we are down. Worse yet, he was born here, which means he knew what he was doing to us too.

Which is why no non-Clevelander will ever understand why we hate him so much. And if you don't have the bitterness that Cleveland fans have with years of frustration, disappointment and collapses from their sports teams, then you DEFINITELY don't understand it.

Moral of the story: Ya'll just don't understand.

ok i can understand that argument i really can but did the people of st. louis go bat ***t crazy this off-season when pujols left? and that guy gave them 2 chips an probably couldve gotten them at least one more before he retired.. the only people who have a right to actually be angry at lebron are people from ohio or cavs fans (are there any of those outside of ohio?) but honestly where people in ohio really surprised? i mean from the outside looking in it seemed like he never said im coming back even one time (i may be wrong of course), he didnt even pull the crap that dwight howard is pulling now by saying he wants to stay even though everyone knows he doesnt wanna come back

I like how you say you can understand my argument then proceed to ignore everything I said.

And yes, he said multiple times he wasn't going to leave until he won a championship.

A lot of people thought that he wouldn't go on National TV and screw Cleveland.

I believe somewhere in this thread, I said that he was as good as gone when I heard that, and when he named it "The Decision."

Still, I don't see how that softens the blow. He should have just released a press statement saying I'm going to Miami, I'd like to thank all of my fans blah blah blah.

And he humiliated you? How? Because you can't brag about having the best player in the league anymore? Because he's over in Miami ballin' and having fun while you watch Kyrie Irving and hope HE doesn't jump ship either?

Maybe players will want to stay when Cleveland actually dedicates themselves to winning. Cause most likely, Kyrie will be outta there too if Alonzo Gee is a key piece of the future.

And yes. Humiliated. He went on National TV and turned his back to every single Cavs fan who supported him over the years by driving the dagger into their heart. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that and you should probably just shut the hell up about things you CLEARLY do not know anything about.

And Kyrie is a good dude, he won't do us like that. If we don't support him he can leave and I'll have no hard feelings. It was never about leaving, it's how he left.

Whatever, I cannot believe i have to explain this to anyone. You are clearly a LeBron fan who has an agenda here.
Oh, so if LeBron would've picked Cleveland on National TV, it's all good then, right? He did the special for the right reasons, right? He's a good-natured, hometown hero, right? But because he didn't tell you what you wanted to hear, now he's LeBrick, now he's the Frozen One, he's LeChoke, he's this and he's that. It's ridiculous (and funny, at the same time ).

I am a LeBron fan, but I don't have an agenda. LOL what would my agenda be anyway? If I had a reason to be mad, it's this: Why are athletes so heavily criticized for being in it for the money ALL THE TIME, yet when a guy leaves to win (considering, to what I THINK I know, that Cleveland could have offered him the most money), he's disliked because he had to "join up" with two other players?

And I can understand Cleveland being upset for LeBron leaving GENERALLY, but c'mon: burning his jersey? Throwing dirt on his name when he made that city relevant? If yall are still mad, yall need to look in the mirror, grow up, and consider where the priorities in you all's lives lay. There's no reason to be THAT mad at a guy for doing what he had the RIGHT to do.
