They will have another top 5 pick this year, another lotto pick next year, the Kings pick at some point, and something like 4 of your 1st rounders in the next 6 years.
The Cavs will have plenty of young talent. Kyrie is already a budding superstar. He and LeBron would work incredibly well with each other.

Re: The LeBron James Thread
How? If he doesn't start winning titles he's not going to be the GOAT, he's won one in Miami and made it to the Finals the first year..why would he go back to a rebuilding team in Cleveland?
If being the GOAT is his goal, he better be thinking 5 more titles, not making amends with Cleveland."To the last minute, to the last second, to the last man, we fight"Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
He's not going to be the GOAT regardless, and saying that he won't go to Cleveland because he can't be the GOAT there, is a child's argument.
And either way, he's not winning 5 more with Miami. Be slightly realistic here.
I'll direct you to OSU's post for the future of Cleveland and why he could go back there...

On top of that, they'll have cap space. They'll hardly be rebuilding should he choose to join them again.
I'm not saying he will be but let's be "slightly realistic" here and acknowledge that he has a chance to be if he wins more titles. And a ton of draft picks=/= success. Next years class is one of the weakest in recent as a matter of fact.
Cleveland won't be rebuilding in 2014? Ok I'll take your word on it, because right now they're looking like a lottery team for the next 3-4 years."To the last minute, to the last second, to the last man, we fight"Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Yeah, because I guess adding LeBron doesn't make a team better or anything -_-
A child's argument yes. We're talking about basketball decisions, and you bring in a statement, probably any great basketball player has made, as the basis for every decision he's going to make from here on out, while completely ignoring one teams roster situation in that time frame.
Well, if he opts in, saying he's going to win 5 more titles, at the rate he's being used right now, with virtually his whole roster coming off the books in 2014/15, while him, Wade and Bosh take them over the cap by themselves, is not being very realistic.Last edited by JODYE; 01-14-2013, 11:06 PM.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Wade and Bosh and who else?
They aren't going to have a team in 2 years. Again, Wade is going to be pushing 33 and is already declining as a basketball player, and 3/4ths their team is coming off the books and they are still going to be over the cap.
What's that leave them with? Something has to give.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Cleveland and Lebron sounds good to talk about on Message Boards but I wouldn't wager a single cent on that happening.
How about they worry about:
A. Keeping Kyrie around for the long term since that's not a guarantee at this point.
B. Those draft picks they've had since Lebron left actually turn into something.
Take care of those two and everything else handles itself.#RespectTheCultureComment
