    Re: The LeBron James Thread

Not so much about Lebron, but the Heat in general. What does everyone see playing out in reference to the salary cap issues they're getting ready to face? Next season kicks in to where they literally have nobody left on the roster, and zero cap to sign anyone. How do you fill 9 roster spots with no money?

Serious question. Do you deal Bosh? Wade? Lebron opt out?

At one point I'm sure..but then they accept that they're not going to be, LeBron isn't accepting that..yet.

Bosh might possible be dealt, Wade will take a pay cut as soon as he can, and LeBron staying depends on how the title hopes look, again, I don't see this core breaking up though.

Enough with the GOAT talk and it being the reason LeBron makes any decision about actual on court basketball. If he was so worried about his legacy he wouldn't have left to Miami in the first place. Let it go.

Someone asked who said it, I answered them.

That legacy crap is just that, crap. LeBron put himself in the best position to win titles, and so far it's proven to be a great decision. Why I even brought up the quote is I'm saying why would he go back to Cleveland if it's not the best place to possibly win a title? If he leaves Miami, it's going to be to a contender.

EDIT: When I say that legacy crap, I'm referring to the whole Cleveland thing, when this is all said and done, nobody will care that LeBron switched teams how he did.

How does switching teams make you any less great? Jordan played for two teams, Pippen played for 3, Wilt played for 3, Kareem on 2, Malone on 2, Shaq on 6, Hakeem on 2, Ewing on 3, Oscar on 2, KG on 2, playing for more than one team should never hurt your legacy at all.

Yes, let's please equate those situations to LeBron's career decisions. Totally the same thing.

I could easily see LBJ leaving MIA to get in a better position to win championships. The new rules that start up next year are going to hurt teams who are way over the cap. If LBJ leaves, wherever he goes, they'll be a contender. People can say, why would he not want to still play with Wade, but Wade will be older, and Bosh is Bosh. There will be teams more equipped for championships by adding LBJ, instead of staying in MIA.

What do you mean Wade will take a pay cut as soon as he can? You can't renegotiate contracts in the NBA. Bron can opt out the same year Dwyane can as well as Bosh.

Right. But he's done it before, if they win another title or 2, and Wade can talk them into taking less money, knowing that he's going to take a cut, I see no reason why they couldn't stay together. That last year of their contract would be very tough however because most of our money will be tied up in those 3 like never before.

On another note, I can see us moving Bosh to clear up some space, and we all know LeBron and CP3 are great friends, CP3 is a FA after this season. Move Bosh for some solid bigs, and potentially try and convince CP3 to go to Miami. Pat Riley pulled off the impossible in 2010, wouldn't be surprised if he had something else up his sleeve.

Not that I'm in favor of any of that, just throwing out hypothetical situations.

What do you mean "under the same situation" there is no situation. A grown *** man decided he wanted to go play for another team.. There isn't a situation, only the one people made up just because it was LeBron.

Plenty of players have moved to contenders.

My man if you wanna make an argument for something then do that, but leave the revisionist history out of it. The situation people made up just because it was LeBron? GTFOH with that for real. You're a better poster than that man.

The bolded part is part of the reason why I don't see him leaving. That and the money obviously.
