    Scazy indeed lol..

That's kind of what I was thinking, if they could lose a great big man in Bosh but add two good big men to replace him they would be solid.. I really feel that if they could get Millsap AND one of those other guys they would be dangerous.. He can hit all those midrange shots they look for from Bosh, even the 3's, he rebounds better, runs the floor better.. Only problem is he can't slide down and play center the way Bosh can. They would have to be able to pick up somebody else..

While its ideal that they try and keep Bosh I'm almost thinking they don't have much of choice with all the money they spent getting the big 3.

Heat won't get rid of Bosh just like that. This team will rely on getting free agents like most championship teams do. They will get Veteran players like Ray Allen/Shane Battier/Chris Anderson to sign for less for a better chance of winning. They don't care about the draft. And they definitely won't trade anyone (especially anyone from the Big 3). The only thing I see happening is Wade either taking more of a pay cut. Or They trade him. At which point I don't think will happen.

      Players like...
      Derek Fisher

Basically older guys who are still effective and play defense.

Also if you were to coach vs LeBron James... How would you want your defense to play him? You would rather stay home on him And allow him to score. Or You rather him passing the ball to teammates for open jump shots?

Always force him to his left hand if possible. Give him cushions on his midrange J and stay at home on shooters. Let him score and shut down everyone else.

You see... Don't take any offense to this elprez98 (or any bulls fans). But why do all Bull fans think forcing him left is a good thing? Even before Jordan ever said it. LeBron has always been able to drive left and finish left handed. So I never thought picking a side was an good option with him. I always thought staying in front of him "even" was a much better % of getting him to pull up. But once you start shifting to one side. All it takes this guy is one (maybe two) solid dribbles and he is by you in the paint.

You're thinking too extreme. You always want to at least try to control what's going to happen so playing straight up on someone on his level is a nightmare waiting to happen. It also helps the defense behind you if they can anticipate where he's gong to go based on how you're playing him.

With that said, Jordan wasn't saying he was horrible going to the left. He watched him and pointed out his tendencies. He tended to pull up for a jump shot more when he dribbled left which actually makes sense for a right handed shooter, but Jordan's view point was more like someone watching a pitcher who's tipping his pitches. When you're guarding James you definitely want him to pull up rather than drive so you want to force him into that based on his tendencies.

Now that it's been pointed out he's worked to not be as predictable but it's still your best bet, and a better approach since he still shoots with his right if he has to pull up (and that's easier to defend if you're sending him left).

But you don't shift to a side just like you don't want to just fall back and give him 6 feet. There are more subtle ways to not take you completely out of position and invite a player to go the way you want them to.

                Anyway, LOL @ Nate Robinson

If we're still going under the assumption that some shadiness took place to form the James/Wade/Bosh trio, then I don't see how they could get rid of Bosh at all to be honest.

                      Re: The LeBron James Thread

I'm not sure which coach it was who said it, but I remember in the 08 Finals, either Doc Rivers or Thibbs said they're defensive philosophy against Kobe in the Finals was to force everything to the left side of the court.... and then I forgot what they said on why they did that.

But what I figured is that when you force the ball to one side of the court, you pretty much cut the court in half, and only have to worry about one side. Players can see ball and man, it's easier to trap, and although playing man, you can zone off everything (if you get what I mean). You'd see a great example of this with the Bulls now, when the ball is forced to a side of the basket, wish I could explain this better.

Anyway, with that being said, I'd run this philosophy against LeBron, trying to force the ball to one side of the court, so double teams and rotations are much more easier to flow. I definitely would prefer for him to do all the scoring than for him to pass and let others add as well. What's his career high, 55? 55 isn't enough to win an NBA game.

Why, you think he'd sing? Hell Bosh may be ready to move on. I doubt he thought the on court dynamic would play out like this and he's got at least one ring and 3 finals appearances now so he'd be more okay with heading out than when he first left Toronto.

EDIT: Forgot to add that I don't think they'll get rid of Bosh. But if I were him, I'd probably welcome a change of scenery.

I'm not saying I agree with it at all, I don't want to see Bosh gone.. And i highly doubt it even happens.. I was only repeating other rumors I had already heard.. Just wanted to ask in here.

But as it comes down to cap space the Heat might feel that they HAVE to move Bosh, and with a top 5 pick already offered and lots of quality bigs in the free agent list this offseason this might be the best option they have..

Question, IF for some reason Noel is available at that 4th pick would you pull the trigger on the trade then?

Yeah I don't see how Nate's block is supposed to compare to Bron's... I've already saw like 10 people I know share that picture on Facebook.

This block is getting WAY too much press, but I feel like it does need to be defended to some extent. I thought it was a given but I don't know if everyone realizes how impressive an athletic feat it was. You really have to consider the physics. I don't care if it's Splitter, Melo or Kevin Hart. His momentum is moving forward and he's bringing the ball towards the rim with even more force. James is in the air with absolutely no forward momentum and catches it clean and completely stops any momentum towards the rim.

Made no difference in the outcome, is getting way too much press, but I think we may be going to far the other way in short changing it. It can't be compared to Nate's block or even Hibbert's block. Those both have significance for their own reasons. This was on a different athletic level (and I think most around here know I'm not one to blow smoke up James' ***).

If we're trading Bosh, we better get Tyson Chandler. That's not gonna happen so.....
