    Don't think they have.

In fairness they were not legit contenders for the title that year. It was pretty much whoever came out of the West was winning and the Pacers were the clear cut favorites in the East. By the way he stated the question of when in the last ten years did they have shot, that year doesn't hold up despite making the ECF (where they lost 4-2 mind you).

Lebron is going to the Bulls, along with Bosh.

You just parroting ESPN rumors/NYT report or making like you've pondered this intently so you can point back to this post if it happens to come true?

If this Lebron-Bosh to Chicago thing ends up happening, I wouldn't have any complaints. It's a great basketball decision from the two. You take a team that already had a solid future with Rose-Noah and add two perennial all stars.

Hey I give them their props for getting there, but the question was about them having a shot to win, losing in six games in the ECF is hardly a shot to win when the only two games they won in that series was the first two at home. The Magic lost in six this year too, did they really have a shot at a championship? Whether it was Portland or the Lakers that came out of the West that year, they were going to curbstomp whoever came out of the East, that was just the state of affairs of the NBA at the beginning of the 00's. And I'll take our spotless Finals record and six championships over anything the Knicks can bring to the table anyday.

What the Bulls did 10 years ago means nothing. What means everything is the Bulls happen to have Derrick Rose still in his rookie contract, along with Joakim Noah, and all of the flexibility in the world to be attractive. It's such a game of chance with the salary cap. You have the space one year and don't the next, even if you don't sign somebody. A year from now, Chicago wouldn't be able to do this. They're lucky Rose is still in his rookie deal.

Man, if the Knicks give JJ a max deal, especially giving out that much cash, then Isaiah Thomas must be let off the hook from all the jokes about him and his time running the Knicks.

And your team wouldn't measure up. Whether you like it or not, the Bulls aren't the Dallas Cowboys of the NBA.

And neither are the Knicks, so what's your point?
