Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Really? You don't think that if the Cavs could get Bosh tomorrow that it wouldn't make LeBron want to stay more. To me and many others, this is the move that cements LeBron staying in Cleveland, and the reason he is most likely going to leave is because of the fact that they aren't doing anything, not because he doesn't know what they're going to do if he stays.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Congratulations.
Dirk can score and grabs a lot of rebounds. On defensive rebounds, which are quite simpler to get mind you.
Yet, the measure of a real monster on the board does his work on the offensive glass. Curious how you left out that Dirk's lucky to grab two offensive boards because he spends all game shooting from the outside.
And you still can't say anything for what he can do on D, which is next to nothing.
Dirk isnt asked to be "a monster offensive rebounder". He is asked to carry the bulk of the scoring load....but you didnt specify offensive rebounds. You stated rebounds. The fact of the matter is that Dirk has been the best rebounder on consistently one of the best rebounding teams in the league over the past 10 seasons.
I'll never forget how many times I've seen David West eat Dirk up in the paint.
btw, Dirk is a better defender than West, not that either of them are excellent defenders obviously
Dirk would be a true all time great if he were a 6'8" small forward. Too bad he's roughly 5 inches taller.
I don't care what offensive stats you throw at me, the #1 stat is rings. Of which Dirk has none.
Anyways, I'd laugh hard if LeBron stays in Cleveland. Just to make all this fluff and posturing meaningless.Last edited by ZB9; 07-05-2010, 08:30 PM.Comment

The Cavaliers do not need a lot. They need a 2nd scoring option. That's it. It's not like the Heat, Bulls and Knicks who still have to build a team. They are one piece away from winning multiple titles. The Heat, Bulls and Knicks are at least 2 years and more likely 4 years.
Oh well. I'm sure I'm going to be ridiculed for this because the Cavaliers roster "sucks" according to many on here.Too Old To Game Club

Have the Cavs met with any FAs outside of LeBron?
Same question with Miami. Have they met with any FAs outside of Bosh, Amare, Wade, LBJ?Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I would love to see you prove to me otherwise.
The Knicks have, maybe, 3 championship level players right now in Amar'e, Douglass and Gallo. The rest is garbage. Adding LeBron to that does not make you a title contender this year, next year or the year after.
The Bulls will have to trade Noah for Bosh. Otherwise, LeBron, Noah and Rose is not going to be enough for a few years. No shooters will hurt them significantly.
The Heat have no team. And the guys they have under contract are garbage.Too Old To Game Club

The Cavaliers have already proven they can win with LeBron. They do not have to make a move to impress the Cavaliers. They can wait for LeBron then go for a big name that would really improve their team.

With the Knicks
You have Lebron, Stoudemire, Gallo, Chandler, Douglas. Eventually, whether by trade, or allowing Curry to expire, he's going to turn into either another really good player, or a couple of solid role players. That will give them 6-7 quality players. It is not going to take 4 years to find roster spots 8-12.
I don't know the other 2 teams as well specifically, but it should not take 4 years to build a team around 2 established superstars, one who is going to be an all time great. You would really have absolutely terrible luck with the draft and or injuries, or just not even try for it to take that long.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Mo, Jamison, Andy, Moon, Parker, Hickson, and Powe. That's better than anything that any team can put out right now. Top might not be as good, but there is certainly more depth.
And that is assuming the Cavaliers make no moves which has about a .00000000001 chance of happening.Too Old To Game Club
