Clearly people just can't be helped. They would prefer to make uninformed comments instead. We have already established that it is about the way he left. Noone is crying because he didn't go to certain teams.

Just wash your hands of it man, that's what I'm doing. At this point it's pointless going around in circles and technically we're not even doing that as people aren't even reading what's being said or just taking away the wrong meaning by gleaming what they want to hear.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Shaq didn't find out from Bob in accounting five minutes before the conference though as opposed to Dr. Buss.

I'm going to guess (don't particularly remember it), that it was very much a typical press conference and not a one hour special on ESPN at 9pm that was promoted for 3 days in which the announcement was made a half hour into it.

That's the point. The guy wants to WIN. Not be "the man", not be Jordan, not be what other people think he could or should be.

I don't know I guess I'm different. When I played competitive sports I wanted to win above all else. I guess that's not good enough anymore. You have to win in a way that will make the people on message boards happy.

This topic is like drugs or something, I'm supposed to be shutting up.

I'll say this and hopefully finally be done. What people see when they look at Bron is GOAT body, GOAT potential and Robert Horry mindset. It's no different than everything else about the NBA and basketball. There are guys that can be the absolute best the NBA has ever seen compete, there are guys who can be so good in the pros that they can be Hall of Famers, there are guys who can play the pro game at a high level for most of they're careers, there are guys who can find a little bit of success in the league from time to time and there are guys who are just there simply to fill out rosters.

Everything about LeBron James and the way he is made and things he can do on the court puts him in that first category, but he is choosing to be in that second or third tier. When you have Robert Horry talent, just playing the game to 'win championships' no matter how you do it and on who's team is fine. But when you're a LeBron James talent winning championships is fantastic and needed, but you understand that proving you're the absolute best pretty much nets you titles regardless.

This is basically robbing fans of what people pay to see and I guess LeBron felt this way too saying he'd spoiled fans with his play. The three of them (at least Wade and Bron anyway) cannot possibly play to the best of their abilities because they have to alter they're games too much to compliment each other. LeBron James can't be LeBron James when he's sitting back and allowing Dwyane Wade to carry the game. Dwyane Wade can't be Dwyane Wade when he's allowing LeBron to be LeBron. It's like an All-Star game or the Olympics. Just look back and watch the games of the stars change while Kobe does his thing or Carmelo does his, or Dwyane does his. People pay to see Bron and Wade playing to the best of their abilities, they're teaming up so they don't have to play to the best of their abilities. How anyone doesn't see the problem with that is something that will remain a mystery to me.

We all know nothing until we have seen them play toghether in an NBA setting, not an all-star game, not the olympics. Save that statement for the season and we will see if you are right then.

We've seen the best of LeBron's abilities, we know he's a 30 ppg guy, we know Wade is a 30 ppg, unless you think two guys on the same team are going to somehow drop 30 a night with another guy who puts up 25 himself in the mix then we don't need a wait and see approach to know that somebody isn't going to be themselves.

IMO them scoring points in the 30's is secondary to how they play with eachother, I think it's safe to assume that assist numbers for both will go up. Also, double teaming either will be non existant. Less last second shock-clock chucking more off-ball cutting and slashing by two great wings both with point guard capabilities.
