Punch a fan in the face in the stands

Is it really that difficult to see why people are "hating" on this guy? Now I'll be the first to call people out for calling James out for stupid reasons, but at the same time James is a huge tool.

He's one of the most arrogant athletes in sports, well at least he comes off that way and is also under the microscope more than any other athlete.

That's a combo for people to easily hate on him. So while he has never committed crimes his personality makes it very inviting for the average person to say 'hey, now that there is a douche bag'. I can't argue with that. A guy doesn't have to be a criminal to be hated on.

And yeah most athletes do have egos, but I don't think there's a bigger one than The King's. He really did it to himself over the recent years.. almost as if he planned it that way.. like he wanted to become the villain. Seems very contrived if you ask me. Knowing what kind of Twitter/Youtube age we live in it's like he's going for the most negative attention possible. I guess this is Nike's new marketing scheme?

It's funny that LeBron had "***** Day" on his twitter page the other day, and by so doing encourage the said hating. Only, to turn around and share the tweets that are most hateful. It is a total marketing move, or he is just dumb. I believe the former.

He brought a lot of this on himself. And whats worse is how after he brings it on himself and theres criticism, he actually tries to play the victim. He says stuff like he's going to prove everyone wrong on the court. What? No one is saying he's not an awesome basketball player. It just goes to show how he doesnt get it. His response to the criticism has nothing to do with the criticism. In fact, the better he does, its likely going to make it that much worse.

He's kind of boxed himself in. The best thing he can do is choose what he's willing to admit he did wrong and apologize for it. Im guessing he wont want to admit that this thing was already pre-arranged but he can apologize for making such a farcical spectacle out of things this summer.

But in no way should he be saying its other people.

            They all have egos

They all act like jerks in some respect

They all have swollen heads(or else they'd be stepping on the court in defeat mentally)

but now its almost childish. Racial remarks and talking up old crap that wasnt even an issue to begin with just to start making remarks again

I said its old now and it is. Its at a very immature level now. We know you dont like him, we get it. Lets move on because obviously alot of people are bored as heck.. and most of them arent Ohioans

Thats what I find funny, because when it was equally easy here in Los Angeles, the fans decided to call every non supporter a *****. IMO its no different

They all don't share the same stage as James though. Not only is he the most scrutinized athlete, he does things, seemingly on purpose to stir crap up.

I agree with you in the sense that people, especially Laker/Kobe fans/Bulls fans/Cav fans and all their LBJ hate gets old. There's no arguing that. These three groups are all threatened and/or hurt by the very mention of LeBron.

On the other hand there's no arguing that in some regards their "hate" is warranted because of how James' conducts himself and the actions he makes fully knowing what sort of backlash it will cause. James trying to illicit compassion and/or sympathy over the racist Twitter thing was flat out pathetic.

I really dont think these dudes care half about what some of those folks say

They live a totally different lifestyle, hang with a different crowd (and a particular circle), and if its not stopping any endorsements or anything they have nothing to worry about.

Its time for the season to start though because it seems alot of fans are bored to death.

If you really think that with the season starting, this "LeBron hate" will calm down I don't know what to tell ya. You may just want to turn off your internet and television because all season long the hate is going to be something like we've never witnessed, pun intended.

I would consider the off-season the calm before the storm. People aren't just hating on LeBron because it's the Summer time or because they're bored. Haha.

The moment LeBron doesn't tip 30%, there's going to be ESPN articles written.

Don't see how it's "old", since we're still in the current cycle of Lebron's two douchiest acts: LeQuit and The Decision.

Two basketball related crimes going into the offseason and he hasn't had a chance to have a basketball related action to replace it. Obviously, some people go too far, but people always go too far. That's not new. Lebron is still acting in the fashion that people dislike him for. I could see if he became a totally different person since The Decision, but since he's still the same dude, there is no reason for the response to him to be different.

I'm looking forward to Lebron being fueled by hatred this year instead of praise, he obviously listens to what people say and his demeanor on the court is much different than in previous years at least in pre-season so far, I've watched at least 85% of his whole career through league pass, i always watch his games and the look in his eye is a little different this year will see if it's still there come playoff time.

I'm seriously enjoying this "villian" role he's embracing and I am looking forward to seeing how his marketing team/Nike turns him into the "hero" again someday down the line. It's all so WWE and it makes me giddy lol.

                            100% agree with ya Baseline.

I for one am cheering for him but also want others to keep "hating" on him so James can be that villain.. during the pre-season he has had a different demeanor about him. I like it.

When Wade comes back it's going to be fun to watch.

                                LOL

Most Bulls fans across message boards seem

                                A. Upset about the whole Noah/James thing last year
                                B. Threatened that James will surpass MJ [I don't think he will either, but the situation reminds me of Bulls fans vs. Kobe fans]

Am I saying all Bulls fans are like that? What do you think

Laker/Kobe fans are much worse than Chicago fans though when it comes to their bias against James

Then of course Cleveland fans are the worst.
