    Re: The LeBron James Thread

Stern must be rolling around the offices in his executive chair with excitement from the anticipation of the amount of viewership the league is going to see. Even my wife is wondering how it's going down. I definitely wonder how this will go down in history.

It'll go down as just another Regular Season game played on December 2nd, 2010 in Cleveland. But for Clevelanders ONLY, it's something more bigger to THEM.

I think he was referring to the anticipation and the spectacle of it, not it being one of the greatest games ever played. But no doubt there's going to be some spectacular booing going on.

Think of Favre's return to GB, then multiply that by 20.

It's only been 5 minutes and this looks like it'll go down as an all time game in history. Up there with Jordan returning with the 4-5.

          Man this is surreal.

The intro booing was kind of weak. I expected more.

Game is going to be crazy, though.

Worst pre-game intro in the league.

                  Has to be.

I still don't 100% believe Amare was on the table for Cleveland, and I think Jamison was the only option out there for them.

Just because Amare was 'on board to stay in Cleveland' doesn't mean Kerr was on board with trading him for JJ freakin Hickson.
So what did they end up with? Nothing, lol.

Talks of extension were dead, and the team was going nowhere. They would have taken JJ and some picks as a consolation.

Bron didn't want Amare, he wanted Jamison, and had been talking about acquiring a stretch 4 since the preseason. Bron also didn't want his stepchild JJ dealt.

Speculation here but he probably didn't want the pressure of having Amare in CLE as another no-brainer reason to stay.

Well, glass half full: At least the Cavs can improve the next few years. Heat can't really do anything besides use the MLE can they?

I'll still be very surprised if the Heat make it to the NBA Finals much less win it.

Obviously they ended up with nothing, but they made a hell of a run didn't they?

You say all of that as if it is fact, when none of what you're saying can be proven.

I don't give a rat's butt what LeBron said he wanted or what he didn't want, if Amare was on the table I find it hard to believe they go with bench player Jamison. Sorry, that doesn't compute.

Looking back to the past few years in Cleveland, like I said, it speaks volumes what LeBron was able to do for this no better than .500 team. He took a team that is on the outside looking in [this year] to a level where people viewed them as worthy title contenders. No other player in the world could have done that. Kobe, Wade, nobody but LeBron.

                                Witness that.
