What Mko26 said. When you have the best player in the history of the NBA on your team then sure they can be the exception.

Durant is at least somewhat comparable.

Not really. He shoots as well as Jordan did. That's it.

He's similar to Pippen when it comes to length, wingspan, etc. and is somewhat close to Jordan's level of scoring.

Not saying Durant is some all time great (at least not yet) but he's comparable.

He doesn't really compare as an asset. Because he's the number one guy, he's going to need to take a Jordan-like role if the Thunder can overcome their lack of big scoring. Durant can score, but he can't handle, pass, play defense, or close like Jordan.

I'm not even sure he can score as well as Jordan. Shoot, sure, but overall scoring, probably not.

Just looking at skill sets, Durant isn't similar to either.

That doesn't negate my point though. My point being that, championship teams can and have overcome scoring deficiencies from their bigs.

90's Bulls. 04 Pistons. You'll probably throw out Rasheed for the latter, but he averaged 14 a game that year. Furthermore, if I recall correctly, most of his points weren't coming in the paint.

Wallace's post game was one of best in the league at the time. He liked to shoot 3's, but he was focused that year and his used his entire arsenal very well.

Saw this article abour LeBron thought some of you might like it.

Plays out of timeouts -- or "ATOs" -- can tell you a lot about a team and a coach. When those five guys emerge from the huddle, they stroll back onto the court with a designed play and a series of directives.

This is a big part of how I thought he'd be used as soon as he got to Miami. I don't know why it took them the entire season to just start to figure it out, but they're going to be even more deadlier than they already are if they start using LeBron like that some more.

It'd also be nice if LeBron decides to work on that post game this offseason. I'll give him a pass for not doing it last offseason because he was busy taking his talents to a new team but this year needs to be the year he finally adds that post-up game IMO.

I just heard Lebron got a new agent, and he is thinking about quiting Miami and taking his talents elsewhere. The Dukes offering him a title shot!

                          Here's the money quote:
"Once Chris went out, that's when our dynamic changed," Spoelstra said. "I said, 'No, you're the 4. You don't bring the ball up. You don't initiate the offense. You're not the point guard. In fact, there's going to be a point guard on the floor with you.' Probably for the first time in his career, he had to learn a new position and learn new actions."
Don't know why it took so long for this to happen. Many around here have been saying this in different ways since before they even played their first game together. THis one ended up with a good look for a teammate (as this type of thing often would), but I think more importantly, this should result in easier looks for Lebron... closer to the basket and often with a mismatch. The screener is always the most dangerous player, and when it's LBJ, if teams won't let him get open after setting a screen then the guy he's screening for will be WIDE open.

With Miami in the ECF and how he has played, does it change anybody's opinion of him or his decision?

I demand this doesn't be bumped until either A) Miami is eliminated or B) Miami wins the title.
