Their was rumors that Kawhi was unhappy, and the Spurs werent to happy with him either. Now how true those rumors are, who knows, but it is out there.
I tend to agree with jake, Lebron going to the Spurs, with Kawhi, who seems to be somewhat injury prone, and LA, still would likely be heavy underdogs against the Warriors. A Lebron led Spurs team I think could push the Warriors, but instead of losing in the finals to the Warriors, Lebron would be losing in the WCF, or sooner, depending on the seeding. Id take the Spurs with Lebron over the Rockets, but not against the Warriors.

The only team with a good chance of beating the Warriors, is the Warriors themselves, lol. But when they decide to lock in, and quit screwing around, its basically game over. Not to knock the Rockets, they played their hearts out, and obviously losing CP3 hurt, but the Warriors sloppy play at times, was a big part of the Rockets taking them to a 7th game.

I hope Lebron stays a Cav, IMO, its not good for the league, if the best player of his era, is jumping around from team to team, to pair up with other stars. As a Pacer fan, I wouldnt mind seeing him in the WC,lol, but as a basketball fan as a whole, I want to see the best players playing against each other, not with each other.

Although I will admit, part of me thinks its funny, that Lebron started this whole super team crap, rather than beat the best, go play with the best, and now its coming back to haunt him

Not even sure what that means.
They are 1-8 vs GS the last 2 years in the playoffs.
I am starting to question whether you have been paying attention to them.
There was a huge issue this year with Pop thinking he should have played at the end of the year. The doctors oked him to play and he wouldn't.
His family came out and said he wasn't happy with the Spurs, keep up.

      Yes xposing yourself

You're regurgitating ESPN rumors. How is his family gonna speak for him when he did so himself?

Popovich NEVER ONCE said he should play, and if you said so show me the quote. All Pop even said was "you have to ask his group"

“Everything was done as a group. I don’t feel like nothing was friction. I talk to Pop (Spurs coach Gregg Popovich) every day. He knows what the progression were. He knew what I was doing the whole entire time, as well as the front office. We made a group decision, so it was me just going out and saying, ‘I am going to go out and do this thing.’“

Asked if he plans on finishing his career as a Spur:

      “Yeah. For sure.”

Kawhi never said he was unhappy. In fact he said what I posted above and never said anything again because he was busy rehabbing out of the state.... nor is he injury prone

Like Yo, what are yall looking at?

Apparently James is meeting with the Cavs Wednesday (today) or it might be any Wednesday for all that we know lol...anyways to discuss his free agency plans.

Although I think it would be awesome for him to stay with the Cavs, try to overcome everything and win another one with the Cavs...I just can't see him doing that. My gut tells me he is heading to the Spurs or 76ers. But who knows...

If he goes to the Rockets it will be very interesting to see how Paul, James and Harden share the ball with all 3 of them wanting to run the show. Personally I can't see Lebron going to any team where he won't be running point and being THE star which makes me think Spurs and 76ers will be his choice.

If Lebron goes to the west Tatum will probably break the consecutive finals record lol

LeBron is going to LA and I think he tells Cleveland tomorrow. Look at how bad Scottie Pippen is cheesing in this video acting like he doesn't know. "Nothing is ummmmmm official yet" lol. FYI he's relevant because his son goes to the school Bronny is supposedly enrolling in.

Yeah I just saw LA is now the clear front runners to sign Lebron. Going to be interesting of the Spurs can get a key player to properly compete. Then we'll have Rockets, Warriors, Spurs and Lakers all fighting for a spot in the finals.

I don’t think Lebron could compete in the West, or if he could, I don’t think he gets very far in the playoffs. Especially not with GSW as hot as they are, and with Houston on the come-up as a serious chip contender.

I wouldn’t be surprised if LeBron heads back to Miami. The Heat have to give up Whiteside and maybe Dragic, but it’s possible.

I thought the same exact thing.

But at this point no one knows. I'm sure every team is trying to get his services at this point.

I just don't see how LeBron would leave the East to go to the wild West.

Yeah same here, 76ers might be ideal as they've got some great talent and with Lebron in the ranks they'll definitely be squaring off with the Celtics in the ECF bar any serious injuries to either team.

Plus he'll be the main guy, and will probably run point...which would suck for Simmons and might actually slow down Simmons' progression as he plays point.

You're still hanging on to that ? Bronny jr is enrolled at svsm as well. Lebrons kids have been enrolled in the LA school system for years, yet still has yet to play a game for the Lakers.

I have FS1 playing at my fitness studio on the TV each morning cause I find them more entertaining than Screamin A and Kellerman, and boy do they all have a hard-on for the thought of KD/LeBron teaming up for the Lakers.

Could you even begin to imagine what the world we live in would be like if LeBron and KD teamed up for the freakin LA Lakers?

I don't get why everyone acts like the West is the murders row of teams they only have two teams that are even a threat to make it to the finals. The Trailblazers were the #3 seed, the Pelican without Boogie won a round and the Spurs were never a real threat without Leonard. The Rockets will likely have to pay max or near max $ to keep Clint and Paul. As great as Paul is he simply cant be trusted to play every game and Hardin doesn't appear to be as good in the playoffs. If Lebron goes to the Lakers I would def rank them 2nd.

A panel of NBA legends including Kobe, VC, Pierce, and more talk about LeBron's legacy:

LeBron James was fighting for his legacy last week, but all Kobe Bryant saw was the exhaustion in his effort.

Kobe seems to be the most critical, which isn't shocking.

Bryant: Michael gave me some really good advice after the '08 Finals: 'You got all the tools. You gotta figure out how to get these guys to that next level to win that championship.' Going into the 2010 series, I said, 'Listen, Boston, they got Ray Allen, they got Paul Pierce, they got [Kevin] Garnett, they got Sheed [Wallace], the talent is there. They're stacked.' That was the first superteam. [Michael] kind of heard me lament about it, and he just goes, 'Yeah, well, it is what it is; you gotta figure it out. There's no other alternative.' And that's the challenge LeBron has. You have pieces that you have to try to figure out how to work with. Excuses don't work right now. …

It has everything to do with how you build the team, from an emotional level. How do you motivate them? … Leadership is not making guys better by just throwing them the ball. That's not what it is. It's about the influence that you have on them to reach their full potential. And some of it's not pretty. Some of it's challenging, some of it's confrontational. Some of it's pat on the back. But it's finding that balance, so now when you show up to play a Golden State or a Boston, your guys feel like you have the confidence to take on more.

I don't think what Kobe's saying is wrong, but at the same time he's not realizing that those Lakers/Celtics teams that year were much closer in comparison than the Cavs/Warriors are. LeBron could have been the most motivational player of all time and it wouldn't matter in this matchup.

Kobe's team was younger than Boston's, won more games than Boston's, had less injuries than Boston's, scored more, ranked higher offensively, ranked higher defensively, by many aspects they were the better team. It was Kobe's team as a 1 seed beating the 4 seed. Kobe was better than anyone on Boston, at that point Gasol was better than anyone on Boston, trying to make the two situations comparable just isn't' really accurate.

But of course Kobe is going to say that, LeBron would do the same, Jordan the same, these guys are all about letting people know what they did and who they beat.

Yeah kind of odd that Kobe mentioned the 2010 Finals, they were not the underdog in that series. They were a #1 seed that won 57 games. The Celtics were the #4 seed in the East and won 50.
LAL was a -180 to win the series and were favored by 5.5 points to win game one.
Im starting to realize that Mamba doesn't like LeBron being mentioned as the 2nd best player ever over him.

Not trying to get into the “help” thing, but wasn’t that the series a lot of people were claiming Gasol should be finals MVP?

Actually looking now, Gasol led the team in offensive rating, defensive rating, defensive box pm, total box pm, value over replacement player, led them in win shares (total, offensive, and defensive), led them in PER. By pretty much every measure outside of scoring the ball Gasol was arguably their most impactful player.

Kobe was their best player obviously, he’s who they turned to when they needed a big play, he’s the one with defenses keying on him, double teams coming his way, but Gasol provided an impact on that team that can’t really be matched by anyone Cleveland had. Whether Love is an all star or not he wasn’t going to be more impactful than every player on GS’s roster, and that’s basically what Gasol was.
