Re: Exactly when has a player won a chip "on their own"?

Let say LeBron is a softy on the inside....lol Does it matter...Do you see your thinking of this whole situation? LeBron James is mentally weak because he doesn't show characteristics of the players before him. LeBron passes the ball out to a wide open player to win the game. Instead of steping up and taking the shot himself (over 2 players). He joins a different team to win (With Superstars). And because he switches teams to win. He has a weaker mind....

This is too funny for me.

I'm done with these LeBron "decision" thread. He made his bed. And he is willing to sleep in it. Him making his decision says. He don't give hell about you, me, nba, cleveland, fans, and media. He just looking out for his best at the end of the day.

    Don't quote this lol...I'm done...Seriously...

Be done if you want but I wish you would leave without trying to process what I'm thinking in a way that you can come back and say "lol, I don't get what you mean?" If you don't get it then leave it at that. I'm trying to seriously respond to all the ways you want to twist what I'm saying. This new one is "Does it matter" if LBJ's soft. The answer is what discussion in here does matter? It's a freaking sports message board. You have every right to not contribute but I'm certainly not losing any sleep over any of this. The people discussing this stuff seem to be enjoying that aspect of it. If you're not... well as you planned, be done.

Since you want to paint an inaccurate picture of where I'm coming from (again) I'll reply so I don't get any others trying to piggy back the point. Nothing I said has anything to do with the players before him. That's an argument you thought up in your head that you decided to attach to anyone discussing the situation who says anything but (Good luck on your new team, Lebron). I've watched him dancing on the sidelines, refuse to shake hands after a tough loss, heard him talk at press conferences, heard stories about the special treatment he's demanded for himself and friends, etc, etc, etc. I've had questions about his mental strength since the day he was drafted, but i've always had hopes that he'd grow out of the immaturity since he was so young when he became a star. Personally, I believe "the decision" and all around it further validates my PREVIOUS feelings. You can disagree... all I ask is to disagree what I'm actually talking about instead of throwing my posts in with 50 others and claim they're all related to what you want them to be so you can dismiss them.

        lol...I don't get what you mean?.....jk man

So you mean to tell Superstars of the NBA don't get special treatment?

We're both talking about the NBA right?

You always seem to think I'm adding something to argument.

If anything this is Jordan fans making they're case for other people/media trying to help these guys trespass on Jordan's estate on Greatest Ave and Of All-Time Dr.

Still don't see how people are okay with seeing guys that people pay money to see giving half effort and admittingly doing so and running away from the challenge of playing the best competition possible.
How is it half effort? Have you seen their roster? Just because lbj and dwade are teaming up doesn't mean everything is gonna be some cake walk to the finals. If anything this puts more work on their backs. They are gonna be responsible for 75% of this teams production while doin so with less touches than they ever had in their careers.....

It's an oxymoron dude. We know what LeBron and Wade giving it their all and leaving everything they have on the floor looks like. They can't do it at the same time on the same team. LeBron cannot be LeBron when he's slacking off cause he knows Wade and Bosh are there. Dwyane Wade can't be Dwyane Wade when he's slacking off cause Bron is there. They're already talking about looking forward to not do what they've done in the past. Seriously how is this hard to understand?

Not at all... hell they get special treatment on high school teams, college teams and definitely in the pros. Some let it go to their heads. For example, we know athletes everywhere go to places and get in for free or eat for free. But the ones that are denied and come back with "Do you know who I am?" are the ones we talk about. I'm not sure if that answers what you were asking me though.

Not always (in response to thinking you add something to the argument)... just when you're twisting my comments . Seriously though, plenty of people deserve to be set straight but personally I've always thought James was a very talented little kid so to speak. It doesn't make me hate him. I actually was behind him trying to bring titles to the Cavs and seeing the valid discussions between him and some of the other greats. I ignored all that other crap with him bc he's nothing but an entertainer to me. With this move, I don't hate him any more or less. I'm just explaining why I think it's effected his potential legacy and what I think of his make up that brought him to this point. Now if he continues soaking in the "Chosen One" talk at this point then I'll consider him a fraud, but time will tell on that one. Even then it won't effect how I'd rank him as a player.

I told people that weekends ago. No one listened to me then.

The guy who created the Jordan Brand. Who had moved on to the Addias brand at that time. Had given him a tee with the name "The King" on the back. And thats where it all started.

What exactly has he told you?

If my friends call me the chosen one does that then give me a pass to get it tattooed across my back? Have you never heard James' 3rd person talk, saying he spoiled his fans, his goal being a global icon, etc, etc.

Why are you acting like James wasn't running stride for stride with those marketing people?

His mom was wearing a King James tee shirt at one of his high school games so the nickname came long before what you're talking about here.

But speaking of MJ, I don't remember him rocking anything with "Air" on it or getting any tattoos of "His Airness". His brand was the pioneer for these kids today so whatever marketing people are tagging Bron with pale in comparison to MJ, but he was all about ball and trash talk (he wasn't perfect, lol). It's really silly to act like Lebron hasn't been eating all of the attention up and it's just his marketing people.

Nope thats false....Sir......I been following LeBron James since freshmen year of HS. I can tell you right now. He picked that name between sopmore and junior year at the ABCD camp by Addias. He never came up with it.

The guys name is Sonny Vaccaro. He was that pushed and started this whole hype machine we have now. This article doesn't have the story I'm talking about. But you can basically see he was the one started most of the greats.

I need to do more searching.

Over the years he has bought into the hype himself. That's the point ww is making. Even if he didn't start it, it's quite obvious he started to believe it. There's nothing wrong with that, but that doesn't mean you can act like it didn't play out this way.
