i know i've commented on this thread already, and admit to not having kept up with the past few pages, but i take pau.

in nba history, there are very few, if any, primarily jump-shooting big men to have won a title. i'll take the odds of a dominant low post oriented big man with a solid perimeter game over a dominant perimeter oriented big man with a solid low post game.

understand your point, but Dirk has already shown that his style can win a championship. If they want to get back there, Dallas needs to add a batman or a robin to the roster (and at the wing, or Caron needs to buck up quickly) but my point is that Dirk's style has already shown to be more conducive to competing for a championship than many will say.

and he would have won one if not for WWE style officiating in Miami and a bail out whistle for DWhistle in game 5 with 1.8 seconds left FTW....If that series wouldnt have been rigged, Nowitzki would have been the 3rd player in NBA history to win an NBA championship without another batman or robin on the roster. to be honest, no. his legacy is that of a small forward. his greatest effect was as a small forward. he is known as a small forward. he may have played the 4 spot, but he is known primarily as a 3.

I still love Dirk over Pau....even with all the facts getting thrown around...Dirk still stands head and shoulders over Gasol in my opinion. Just saw that clutch shot he hit on the Celtics. I mean how the hell do you defender that without fouling him?... Pray and hope that he misses lol

Doesn't matter. I would take Dirk with first pick to build a team from scratch. However, if I had a good guard or small forward I would take Pau.
