As far as a cap goes i would of course be in favor of a hard cap no exceptions, and maximum contract length at 3 years

at 5 and 6 year contract lengths you could takeover a team saddled with bad contracts and literally get fired before ANY of them expire

        I hope LO's injury isn't serious.

        EDIT: He's ok.

Kobe with a triple double tonight I think, just needs one more board.

Agreed. No one is coming to Memphis unless they have some kind of tie to the city. Other cities like Miami, Dallas, Houston, L.A. etc....

Certain teams in the NBA have to pay more even for their own players. Bad contracts only matter during certain years. Bad contracts often become valuable pieces in the last year of their existence. Even if the CBA changes it will just mean that not all this money will be guaranteed. Memphis and Toronto had to do what they had to do to keep players.

Na Pack you're right, that was definitely robbery by Outlaw. He's a nice bench player but nothing more than that. I would say a 6th or 7th man.. he'll never get 6th man of the year and he's not good enough to start.

            So yeah.
He's not even a 7th man and that's what makes this even worse. Damion James has shown more than Outlaw has in the few minutes he's gotten then Outlaw has as a starter. He plays absolutely NO Defense, can't shoot and when he does, he takes the worst shots out of anybody on the team.

If it were up to me, his *** would be right at the end of the bench and would stay there until he got his stuff together.

The work Richard Jefferson put in this summer is really paying dividends. I can't believe I'm typing this, but he has been the Spurs most consistent (maybe best?) player so far. Dude was unconscious tonight, four threes from the same spot in the fourth quarter.

On another note, all of the Spurs rookies look good. Already a fan of James Anderson.

Dragic still a killer, he's doing a damn good Steve Nash impersonation when he's out there.

Right but I still can't consider that a logical move. I mean you could have waited for the Summer and let the market dictate his contract. I would wager a lot of money that a team wouldn't have given him that deal. No way.

Also I'm not sure what you mean by "bad contracts only matter during certain years".
