They might as well trade him to Brooklyn. Get something like Brooks, Lopez, maybe try to sign and trade for Wallace and some draft picks and call it a day. Make sure to throw Hedo in. Don't let this whole thing drag out.

Guarantee he's going to LA this offseason. Both Gasol and Bynum have made themselves expendable with how they've played in the playoffs and you know Kobe is going to be pushing for big changes assuming OKC finishes them.

Pass on Hedo, especially if the AK-47 Rumors are true.

If we win the Draft Lottery or get a top 3 pick, I give them option of either the pick/Brooks/Wallace or Lopez/Brooks/Future draft picks. No chance in hell I give them the pick AND Lopez especially if it's the top pick in the draft.

If I'm Billy King, I wait for Orlando to call us first, not the other way around because I refuse to go thru another year talking about a player that's even on our team nor can we even afford doing that.

That would be super interesting if Brooklyn got the 1st overall pick. Do you keep it and take The Brow or trade it for Dwight?

Honestly I think if I'm the Nets I keep it. That back surgery thing would make me hesitant on Dwight, among other things.

I was under the impression that Howard wanted no parts of the Lakers.

I don't think he himself has ever come out and said that, and he's already shown that any decisions he makes aren't exactly set in stone.

I keep the pick, especially if it's Davis.

Cheaper contract, we'll have our own Twin Tower set up with he and Lopez and the worst case scenario is Davis turns out to be Marcus Camby 2.0, which last I checked didn't have too bad of a career being one of the best defensive players at his position for most of his career.

Knowing Billy King, he'll offer the Magic the top pick the second he wins it since he and The Russians are so adament on having Duhwight and Deron open up Brooklyn.

As for Stan, give me a break with that tired it wasn't working garbage. Vinny, Mike Brown and Spo are three walking examples of how little a superstar or two or three mean if your coach ain't worth a damn. Stan is a good coach and this year he proved it even more by the fact that not only did that team make the playoffs with the garbage Dwight put them through, but they did it as the sixth seed after holding down a top four spot in the conference for the majority of the year. The problem isn't even the fact that they are getting rid of them, but WHY they are getting rid of them. For some clown who has NO intention of being with this team long term.
Dude, I only quoted you because you posted the news, and I figured there'd be people saying it was unfair, a bad move, etc.

As far as a good coach meaning more than a superstar (and using Brown, VDN, and Spo as your examples), you're wrong. Van Gundy was a six seed and got knocked out in the first round. Mike Brown has been to the Finals the exact same number of times as Van Gundy, and his team this year was a 3 seed and is still playing. The Clippers were a five seed, and made it to the second round (where they were swept in part because their Superstar was injured). Spo also has as many finals appearances as Van Gundy, and currently holds home court in essentially a best of three. The Heat, with the sub-elite coach, are 6 wins away from a second consecutive Eastern Conference Title.

Otis should have been fired YEARS ago.

SVG...man, dude keeps getting fired for literally no reason. Lakers should hire him after their exit.

My dude I've never said the coach was more important. However this notion that you can just take any old coach and go win a title cause you have a superstar is a joke. If you wanna point out the superstar/superstars that have done it, go ahead.
