Orlando looks even more idiotic now for not moving him because now his trade value post-back surgery has to take at least a small hit

I like how people are writing him off because he's having doctor recommended back surgery and not playing through a very serious injury.

To say that the drama and circumstances leading up to this news don't warrant some questioning is ridiculous.

I'm hoping Orlando drops to that 8 seed now.

Eh. Back problems are serious and can deteriorate everything else at an accelerated rate. Probably best he gets the surgery. Never been the type to buy into the faking injuries or surgeries to string a lie along.

              Sketchy circumstances though, sure.

Howard has been ridiculous this season....but that sucks has to go under the knife....He said its a 1 inch incision...sounds like a microdiscectomy...

Even though it's minimally invasive it's not something you have because you just don't want to play anymore, it's the dead last option. Dudes back may never be normal again...

Because when it comes to Bigs and Serious Back Injuries, there is no guarantee he'll return to his old form. Just like when you have knee issues when you're young, in that your Knees become an issue the older you get.

Honestly, hearing this just sounds like something that would happen if he was traded to the Nets just because...they're the Nets. How funny/sad would it be that we(Nets)go thru half the year of not improving team just to wait for Duhwight, then we finally get him, only for him to have to miss the rest of the year with an injury. That just sounds so....Nets like to be honest LOL.

Would be nice to be honest, but super pipe dream at this point. No way they lose out and Philadelphia AND New York win out.

It does suck. And I do worry for his long term production at this point (we've seen how quickly someone can be out of the league in Brandon Roy). But I feel like some people are suggestion that this guy is undergoing friggin back surgery because he doesn't like his coach.

Yeah but still... as long as the road to the ECF is Philadelphia and Indiana instead of New York and Boston I'll be happy. Chicago will have to work hard to beat both but I rather see them avoid Boston and New York.

^ Figures Miami will draw the cakewalk side of the bracket.

But I'm confident it'll be Heat/Knicks and Bulls/Sixers in the opening round.

I would LOVE.... LOVE.... LOVE.... LOVE a Chicago/Indiana series. The animosity that's been back and forth with them during their games this year would be amplified in the playoffs. We'd see some scrappy contests back and forth.

I don't. Rose would get injured and break into a million pieces.

Wait. This is the wrong thread. What happened here?

Dwight derails a lot of topics so it's only fair we derail his thread.
