Silver lining: Doc Rivers likely to return to coach the Celtics next season.

    Doc "probably will" return.

He can if he wants to be. He has a player option for the 2013 season.

I'm glad the Heat took this. I'm a diehard Rockets fan, but of the teams remaining I'm cheering for the Heat (though I really like OKC too as Durant is my favorite non-Rocket). I mainly like the Heat because of how hated they are (especially LeBron).

I'm hoping the Bulls win their series and we get a Heat-Thunder finals.

I disagree with the Celtics being underachievers. Their goal was to win a title and they did that.

Sure, they could have won last year, but Perkins went down. The year before that they had the major injury to KG. They had no control over that, so you can't hold it against them.

The only teams they lost to in the playoffs were Orlando (who made the Finals that year) and the Lakers (who won the title). They were never upset. Also, with the Rondo/Allen/Pierce/KG/Perkins starting 5 no team beat them in a playoff series.

              They weren't underachievers IMO.

I was just correcting your incorrect statement.

Well, obviously you understood what one would mean by a statement like that, looking at the context of the discussion being had regarding Boston underachieving. Anything other than that would be trolling. But I'm sure you know that.

The reason I am giving the Heat credit is because YES - they did hit big shots - and YES - I did expect the officiating to be horrible. I was hoping the Celtics would be able to overcome what was to be EXPECTED as horrible officiating - WHICH IT WAS.

If you try to tell me the officiating wasn't horrible and one sided, then I question your objectivity in watching a basketball game. That doesn't mean we didn't have chances, which we blew, nor does it mean that LeBron didn't hit great shots. It is what it is.

But in a game that came down a few points at the end, MULTIPLE BAD CALLS MAKE IT SIGNIFICANTLY TOUGHER TO WIN.

                        End of story.
Agree 100%. You could hear Doc talking to 1 of the refs as D Wade was shootin 1 of his 48141893423490 FT's tonight saying "He's good enough, he doesn't need your help" haha. Teams know going in they aren't gonna get calls against this team. I actually can't believe the cool that these coaches and players keep when they keep parading them to the line over and over, but "somehow" they miss Bosh's whole foot on the baseline before LeBron hit a 3. A couple of bogus traveling calls on Pierce and Baby also took points off the board. All in all, with an injured Rondo Miami is slightly better than Boston and when you get the overwhelming majority of calls, it boils down to a 4-1 "triumph".
"In the morning he would read the Bible with another coach. Then, in the afternoon, he would go out and cheat kids who had probably saved up money from mowing lawns to buy those raffle tickets. That's Jim Tressel."

Haha...I don't make sense? Ok. If you watched the games in this series Miami won 1 game convincingly. So did Boston. The other 3 games were all in doubt in the last 5 minutes or so, and Boston easily could have won any/all of them.
