        Julius Earving
        Magic Johnson
        Bob Cousy
        Bill Russel
        Elgin Baylor
        Jerry West
        Shaq
        Gary Payton
        Dwayne Wade
        Kevin Mchale
        Roger Parish
        Isiah Thomas
        Patrick Ewing
        Walt Frazier
        George Gervin
        Reggie Miller
        Oscar Robertson
        Moses Malone
        Pete Maravich
        Elvin Hayes
        James Worthy

        Nate Archibald
        Jerry Lucas
        Allen Iverson
        Rick Barry
        Bob Mcadoo
        Bernard King

I got tired after naming those
are all of them in the basketball HOF because Dirk will be shortly after he retires......it's hard to put guys who aren't even in the HOF ahead of him wouldn't you agree?

Also in terms of post season numbers there's only 4 guys on that list who avg 25 ppg and 10 rebounds in their career again Dirk is one of those guys which makes your so called list of 50 even more flawed when he's done something only 4 other players in the history of the game has been able to accomplish besides himself.

Another thing you left out was how many of those players are in the top 20 for career scoring?

Dirk will end up being in the top 10-15 overall for career points scored by the time his all done....do know 40 other guys on that list who will finish ahead of him

And finally how many players on that list have ever been named LEAGUE MVP in their career?

Again Dirk accomplished that aswel......if you want to compaire numbers we can do that there is where Dirk backs up his game. Showing me a list of 50 players you think are better is one thing show me a list of 50 players with better numbers in their career regular season or post season

I'll waite for you to compromise that list with actual numbers being posted for each..................

out of the list i mentioned here are the mvps
          Lebron
          Kobe
          Nash
          Duncan
          Garnett
          Iverson
          Shaq
          Karl Malone
          Jordan
          Moses Malone
          David Robinson
          Olajuwon
          Barkley
          Magic
          Bird
          Erving
          Abdul-Jabar
          Walton
          McAdoo
          Reed
          Wilt
          Pettit
          Russel
          Cousy

out of the 48 i named 24 of them have won the MVP. I named 19 of the 20 top scorers of all time (I failed to mention Dan Issel in the original list) but scoring points is not everything 1 and two i was not ranking them i simply made a list.

so while maybe that he is not in the top 50 was a bit extreme (due to my overwhelming hatred for the mavs). I will be a tad more realstic here and say that he is just outside the top 25 players to ever play the game (probably somewhere in the 27-30 range) .

to an extent yes we are certainly spoiled but it was phils last year coaching the team and if kobe won another mvp he would have tied jordan with 6 which would have been another big step in his career (in terms of titles).
I have been a laker fan for close to 14 years (i am 18) and this was one of the few time where i was disgusted with them because it just seemed that they gave up

I might put him in the top ten as far as PF's.But as of now i dont even think that until he puts a ring on his finger. You cant deny that the man is one of the best shooting bigs of all time. His fade away jumper is crazy and possibley one of the hardest shots to guard in NBA history.I know thats a stretch but its hard to block someone who is 7 ft and the release of the ball is prob 8 ft and this is fadin away on one leg.But top ten all time i dont think so.

So you were born in 93 but yet you're naming players, who you've never seen play before and players which I'm sure you were barely old enough to tell how good they were at the time, that are better than Dirk?

Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this?

You're not but it just seemed too obvious, and along with admitting how much he hates the Mavs now, wasn't really worth even debating.

also, to be fair, you can be fairly young and still have done your homework (watched games on nbatv, the internet, video tapes, read books, articles, etc.)

If you did your homework you wouldn't put Dirk behind half the guys on that list.

lol, i was speaking more for myself. i'm fairly young, though older than some, but i've done ample research to support and formulate my thoughts and opinions.

but yes, his list was wild.
