D-Rose Overhyped ?
I was disgusted when he got mvp this past season. I feel like they gave it to just based off hype and his team record(which is a team achievement). What made him worthy of getting mvp ? His team won 62 but i believe was mainly because of their defense, bench, and Tom thib(can't spell it) He's not even the best at his position or top 5 player. IMO dwight howard deserved MVP.Tags: None -
Re: D-Rose Overhyped ?
He led his team to the best record in the league, when that roster was decimated by injuries. He was a worthy recipient. -
His team won 62 games with their 2nd and 3rd players constantly injured.
He averaged 25/4/7
He played his heart out every night
He had to make EVERY decision in the clutch for the Bulls

Who do u think should of got it?
EDIT: the question isnt supposed to be sarcastic, who do you Actually think shoud've won?Chicago Bulls
Chicago Bears

Re: D-Rose Overhyped ?
I can understand why he got it. none of the established superstars really jumped out at the voters (or fans, for that matter) this season, and here came this young guy with an explosive season, on a team that was really overachieving, in the minds of many. he was the sexiest choice in a season that was filled with average looking options. Re: D-Rose Overhyped ?
I bet Jordan's HOF speech proved he didn't belong then right? Derrick Rose was the media darling, you know they were hell bent on not making LeBron (or anyone from Miami at that) MVP this past season. It's kind of funny how the media does this, Kevin Durant was pretty much the MVP going into this season but had a somewhat sluggish start marred with injuries so of course the next choice was Derrick Rose since Kobe was playing some low minutes and wasn't making the flashy plays like Rose. When the Knicks were winning early Amare was up there in consideration but once that momentum slowed down, you know the rest. Rose won the MVP in like January or February, the media already made up its mind. Just like I think next year the choice is probably going to come down between Rose and Durant preseason, with a honorable mention to Dirk and Kobe.Comment

Re: D-Rose Overhyped ?
The MVP trophy doesn't go to the best player it goes to the guy that was the most vaulable that season. I like Rose which is weird because him winning it botherd me(probably because I felt like CP3 the 07-08 season he deserved it and didn't get it), but he was the clear choice IMO.Last edited by da ThRONe; 08-12-2011, 12:21 PM.You looking at the Chair MAN!

Over the course of the regular season, DRose was the MVP. Many of the reasons to support it have already been stated.Comment

Holy conspiracy Batman!!
Those diabolical fiends!! Determining an MVP by process of elimination on who had the most consistent performance of canidates considered from start to finish of the season. Truly criminal masterminds at work here.Comment
