Re: D-Rose Overhyped ?
Bumi, you really are clueless. Not a personal attack, but reading your responses, I lose IQ points.
There really seems to be no other way to describe your opinion. Even when you're proven wrong (which has happened MANY times) you continue to ramble and create false realities to justify your opinion.
Cool. He wasn't the best, nor most valuable regular season player either.
And also got booted from the playoffs because of him.
The Bulls were fortunate to have played Indiana and Atlanta in the first two rounds. Fairly tame competition.
Dirk just won a title. And was mocked before doing so because he was consistently booted prematurely from the playoffs.
The Bulls were one of the healthiest teams in the NBA throughout the season.
Carlos Boozer - 23 games missed
2 of our Top 3 players miss a combined 57 games. Wrong again.
Arbitrary and meaningless.
Same Heat team was beaten by Dallas, whose supporting cast isn't nearly as talented as Chicago's. I wonder what the difference was?
Dallas had more offensive threats than we did. Didn't think that was a secret.Comment

He wasn't? So being by far the best player on the best team with the best record doesn't make you valuable?
Did you watch the conference finals?
Wouldn't quite call earning the #1 seed fortunate.
Weren't you the one defending his performance in those playoffs, justifying his MVP win, but then once again, proved wrong?
Joakim Noah - 34 games missed
Carlos Boozer - 23 games missed

If you consider points and assists, two of the most influential stats in determining a MVP, meaningless, then how do you determine it? Name in a hat? I'm confused.
With the same superstar player that gave less than half the effort that he did against us. That was the difference.
Dallas had more offensive threats than we did. Didn't think that was a secret.
But it wasn't like they were both out at the same time, he atleast had one of them. Without D-Rose the bulls are a playoff team, without dwight the magic are a lottery team. So who's the most valuable ?Comment

I didn't say he wasn't valuable. I said he wasn't the most valuable MVP candidate to his team. Massive difference.

Sure, Rose was top 10 in both points and assist. But is 25 and 7.7 more impressive than 26.7 and 7? If you think being in top 10 in both points and assist holds relevance, than yes. If you take the statistics for what they are, no.
Russell Westbrook is one of 5 NBA players in history to reach 4,000 points, 1,500 assists and 1,000 rebounds during his first three years in the league. The others are Chris Paul, LeBron James, Anfernee Hardaway and Oscar Robertson. Does he deserve an MVP award because of it? Is he the best PG in the league, or even top 3? No.
With the same superstar player that gave less than half the effort that he did against us. That was the difference.

And outside of Jason Terry, I cant think of any other consistent offensive threats Dirk was playing with. But then, Terry has never been a great playoff performer anyway.Comment
