Takes a while for lawyers to clear schedules and all convene on the same locale.

But my guess is the "weekend" will include Friday as well.

Ok, gotcha. Didn't remember the PA meeting today...

Hopefully we'll get a deal done, and maybe the 78 game schedule can still be saved... more games the better.

I said it earlier. I fell like this is the REAL last chance. If the NBA is forced to pay the networks back for ad revenue from the missed Christmas games, the offer will go from 50% all the way back to 43%. That will essentially blow up the season.

As disgusted as I am by this whole thing, I can't turn away. There is nothing to be gained by prolonging the lockout, so hopefully they can get the deal done now.

Agree completely with your assessment. It's do or die time for the NBA season. I just don't see the players not realizing it finally... and conceding the owners demands and have a season. The role players and mid tier guys are starting to feel the pressure I'm sure, and unity is about to go out the window.

At least 2 more weeks, if not push it until New Years, IMO.

I refuse to believe that all 400 players are on one accord regarding these negotiations. I'm sure many of those guys are ready to take the deal and starting earning paychecks. "Stand United" is one of the biggest fronts I've seen in a while.

The players have compromised over and over again. It's time for the owner's to give something up.

They have no reason to give anything up. "A fair deal" went out the window long ago.

Im guessing that Stern takes 2-3 more weeks or a whole month. Then we are looking at New Years.

you know, honestly, as much as we loathe sport agents and lawyers, there are times like this where you see why they're the ones doing the business side of things.. it's because you have to protect the players from themselves

WITHOUT A DOUBT, some of them if not most "just want to play some ball"

i still stand by my statement that things will come to a head Nov 15, because things get real when that direct deposit ain't there

I just wish the players would realize they ain't winning this and just accept the deal already.. there's no sense "holding out" when the thing you're holding out for isn't coming at all

(notice i didn't say anything about fairness cuz life ain't fair, nor did i side with anyone cuz i don't side with either owners or players, i just wanna see some basketball being played.. for crying out loud my Knicks got Melo and Amar'e and we ain't playing ball!)

                                grr
