Asking why you guys aren't still talking if you aren't at your bottom line: "Billy left the room"

I hope Billy Hunter is fired. On the damn spot.

Stern: "Loss of money to players is money they probably will never earn back."

The Union is ****ing stupid for packing up and leaving.

Stern is playing the media and the fans like a puppet on a string.

I take very little out of his mouth as truth. He's coming off like a poor, little victim.

BTW, it's clear what Stern is doing.

He's putting it out there that money is loss and that players will never get it back. Almost assuredly that will sink to the mid level players and now it's time to put pressure on the Union.

Once again, the Union is ****ing stupid.

Stern used newser to send message to players: You're bleeding money, and it will get worse. Storm the castle, tell Hunter-Fisher to cave.

What he's saying is true, though.

How are they getting that money back? And the owners are going to want to make up those losses with giving less back.

This is what we were talking about when people said "the players have no leverage." Owners are going to still be making money on other businesses while the players are dependent on playing for money. I don't care how much the players saved, they cannot withstand a whole year without a pay check.

The owners gave them the noose and they are hanging themselves.

The NFLPA went from 60% to 48% in their new agreement. The NBA is not even remotely as well off financially or as profitable as the NFL. If the NFLPA is giving back 12% who is the NBAPA to stick up their nose at giving back 10%? The NBAPA can't win this fight. Offers will only get worse. I know the players want to do their best to stay above 50% because they know when it's time to renegotiate that BRI % is going south again and the higher they can stay above 50% the worse the drop off possibly.

NBAPA is living in a fantasy world. They have to have family members/friends around them who have lost jobs or are currently looking for one. They can't continue to live in a bubble like the economy can't effect them as well. They just got to bite the bullet.

Owners dead set at offering 50%. Players dead set at offering 52%. Can't they meet half way at 51% NBAPA?

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

I wish I could sit in a room with Hunter and Fisher and interview them just to get a glimpse of whats going on in their heads because their stance is ridiculous.

Its like being married to Jessica Alba (or your favorite female celeb) and, after a number of years, she tells you that she can't do the same things she used to for you. Common sense would tell you that, even though you valued the things she did greatly, at the end of the day she still is hot and odds are that the next girl will not look as good as her. Would you tell her, F U, I'm not going to be with you until you do the things you used to do for me? No! Any dude in their right mind would be fine with what she's offering.

Thats what I feel the players are doing. Stern keeps telling them that if you don't accept this deal now, it will get worse. I may be wrong but I thought when you reject a deal, you do so in hopes that it will get better. If the other side tells you that it won't get better then you take the best deal you can, at the time, and walk out. These players are idiots.

When will somebody talk some sense in to the players that the deal is only going to get worse. Sticking to 52% percent isn't going to work.

Nov 15 is when things should really get serious

                                why?

1st day paychecks are going to be missed, that alone should put more pressure on the union to get their **** together and get a deal done

52% is their stance, they won't go under it period

50/50 is what's on the table

nov 15 is the 1st day paychecks will be missed so that's the date it should get serious
