i disagree with all you guys, why should the players take a bad offer just cause the owners have the leverage, i believe the players made enough concessions and they should get the 52% I don't buy tickets to see clay bennett's face. The owners are hell bent on having this hard cap, they are trying to make the luxury tax so high that teams won't go over the cap to pay the tax, not to mention they want don't want tax paying teams to use the exceptions and the sign trade which halts player movement, I believe if a player is a free agent he should be able to go to what ever team he wants...

The first rounders will get loans or advances from agents. They will be fine.

Uh, because 50% is a hell of a lot more than 0% and every two weeks they lose they're losing more than what they're holding out for.

As much as everyone involved is trying to change this, I feel that the majority of people support teams over players. Their are die hard Knick fans who bled blue and orange even when the bad times hit. The game is bigger than the individual players. Players need to get off their ego trip.

This is where I feel the owners need to back off and I hope they eventually will. Raising the luxury tax is a good idea but don't go overboard with it. 2x is reasonable 4x is overboard.

Hopefully both sides follow the recent pattern of the past week. They had the blow up......now have the secret small group meeting and get it back on track.

I like the hard cap idea. It will make every team able to compete and create parity in the league. Every major support has it except baseball who has no cap and we watch the big payrolls win most of the time. I might feel differently if I wasnt a timberwolves fan.

True to a degree. But try tracking down all the "Bulls fans" and Bulls jackets and whatnot from back in the 90's when Jordan was playing. How about all those outside of Cleveland "Cavs fans" from a few years ago? Nugget fans not residing in Denver? Or how about the Sixers folks? I was just at a party last night where a trivia contest for a few hundred bucks had the question of naming two current Bulls players and Derrick Rose couldn't be one of them....needless to say the so called "Big Bulls fan" couldn't name one player. So while there are a whole lot of people that support teams over players, there are just as many, if not more people that'll support players over teams or they're just showing up cause they're team is good at the time.

A random NBA fan wrote on Twitter a message directed at Heat owner Micky Arison.

"Fans provide all the money you're fighting over," wrote the fan.

"Honestly u r barking at the wrong owner," replied Arison on his Twitter feed.

Arison has been categorized by NBPA Executive Director Billy Hunter as part of a group of owners eager to reach a deal with the players.
                          First off OMG @ "u r"!!

LOL, all jokes aside, you dont say this type of thing when Sterns preaching everyones on the same page...

Heat owner obviously wants to get back to playing, people come out to see his team. I wish Dan Gilbert would go on a twitter rant.

Asked for his thoughts on Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, he simply replied, "lol."
Best part of the whole thing.

In before the "no one comes out to see the Heat" joke, lol

They are actually #5 in the league suprisingly, so I have no doubt he wants bball to start...

I would still think he should fall back w\ these type comments though...

I didnt see the Sterling thing, thats hilarious

Wouldn't surprise me if he claimed he was hacked or something, just like every other jackass who says something on twitter then thinks about it or is visited by the Angel of Stern as they say on PTI.
