Bottom Line, and you know why the PLAYERS are going to be the ones who have to fold?

Because the Owners won't mind at all of just forsaking the entire season

...it's the truth, this isn't the NFL with Billions of $$$$$ on the table folks

and the Players need to realize wtf is going on right now

November 15 cannot come soon enough

first official date players miss paychecks = sooner they fold and we get some basketball

This is my point. I think we all know who has the leverage. That doesn't relieve the owners of their responsibility in all of this. Yet some people are blindly supporting them. When it's clear they had no intention to negotiate fairly. Once again at this point I'm not supporting either side. Both have the power to end this and both refuse to.

Just so we are clear here, Stern was left at the negotiating table by Billy Hunter after Hunter made the ultimatum of 52.

Either way, stop ****ing creating twitter accounts and spurting off slogans and fining people. Get in a room, lock the door, put armed guards on the other side of the door and don't come out until you have a ****ing deal you worthless piles of donkey ****.

This. Im not sure how anyone has a "side" in this.

Leverage is important in negotiations. Granted. owners have that.

You know what else is important? not having ultimatums, planning to actually "negotiate"

Even the writers and their respective side taking can all agree on one thing...both sides are idiots lol

somehow this hasnt been grasped yet....but keep on supporting those owners\players, they care about YOU

Or David "has people fooled the owners just want to improve the game" Stern could move off 50\50

                ill take either one.

Ill "support" them both after the deal is done....

Who said anything about improving the game?

Come on man, this isnt about that nor does anyone think that.. we all know that its system is definitely broke as is

..but like I said, all the support talk and people will turn around and buy tickets and t-shirts so that means nothing at all

What matters here is reality...not talking about fair or good faith or any of that spin talk

Why would he though? That's the crux of all of this. Why WOULD he? Why WOULD they? They don't HAVE to do ANYTHING.

It seems like so many people just think that just because a deal "should be done" means its just as easy as doing that. That's not how ANY of this works.

This isn't some utopian fantasy of "oh, just get it done".

What does this last lingering issue have to do with fixing the broken system?

nothing. this is part the owners hanging on the rim after already winning the game. and part the players prolonging the game with intentional fouls lol

as far as "support", the discussion was about taking sides with people who couldnt care less how you feel, not whether youll buy tickets once the season starts..

LOL @ spin talk..... its fact. its just that not everyones drinking the owners kool aid. The reality is either side could end the lockout with a pinch of sensibleness at this point.

Thats reality. Whether you choose to ignore it or not.

I think a month of cancelled games let us all know coming to an agreement isnt easy. Not sure what your point is here.

I don't get the player hate for not caving, but nobody is saying hey owners how about you guys get off your high horse and meet the players at X amount.

Some people have the "might is right" logic. Just because the owners are in a position of power don't mean there case is just. Likewise I have shifted to calling the players out because at this point both sides are losing. They both are willing to cut the baby in half just to prove a point and that's dumb. Now I'm calling both sides out not just the side with the "ZERO" leverage.
