Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion

Someone says something stupid or idiotic doesn't need to be silenced.
    Of course they do.

Unless you want more JaVale McGee's out here.

And once again, there is a difference between saying something and knowing what you're talking about and saying something and not knowing WTF you're talking about. That's why folks are dogging some of these dudes.

It isn't a matter of "Uh-oh this player spoke so KILL HIM!!!!!!!".

Now Pack, you know as well as I do that if a guy like McGee wasn't Tweeting, you'd have less to say on this board.

And its not about "Kill him if he says something". I'm even talking about him saying anything stupid. As stupid as the tweets may seem, they're not insulting anybody. If you think it's stupid, fine. If you think it's idiotic, then fine as well. BUT to STFU?

Oh lord man come on, its not even this serious

Powe said something stupid and someone here thoght he should shut up

So what...where is all the extra sensitivity coming from?

If you want to worry how about wonder why the PA told mcgee to shut up and not saying anything about guys wanting to give in because they're "united"

Why arent the lesser players allowed to tell us how they feel about this whole negotiation.... instead we have dudes like Amare and KG and the likes telling them not to buckle but are setting up trips to other countries to get up to a million while these guys take the brunt of the hardship

Honestly man its all getting old...these players dont have sympathy from the public, and if you think its bad now, let them not make an agreement and you'll see how people really feel

OK. If you want to bash Leon Powe. Then fine, be my guest. I just was agreeing with 24th on his statement and the STFU use whenever a player tweets something.

Now are we talking about the lesser players who are at the meetings or those who aren't hardly there? Because I could care less about the guys who aren't hardly there. That's something I can agree with with Derek Fisher on. That's like someone complaining about an elected official and you didn't even vote.

If your trying to paint the pro player group as sympathetic for the players. Can we paint the pro owners group as sympathetic for the owners?

I think we all know nobody in the labor situation is worthy of any tears. Some of us think the owners are going to far while some of you believe since the owners have the leverage they should get the majority of the things they want without making any confession of their own.

I'm sorry. People who are dumb DO need to shut the **** up. There is no problem in saying that. Why? Because other people, in the general populace, who are already stupid listen to these guys and become dumber.

Nash's thing about thanking people for trying to get a resolution is not dumb therefore needs no rebuke.

Nash's trash he was spewing last week or the week before should have--and did--get him a lot of heat. Even from a guy who lives and dies by him basketball-wise. **ahem**

If you want to talk about "not that serious", half these twitter comments b\c are up in arms about fall into that category bro LOL.

No ones sensitive here, i was just making the point that I dont see what was wrong with what he said...

Lesser players? unless Powe got a raise I didnt hear about, hes in that group...but were supposed to disregard what he said b\c he made money while hurt.

I can see if this wasnt a guy who played his *** off for the Cs, worked his way back from a nasty injury, didnt get a offer of them, and still plays his *** when he does see floor time. All you heard from Doc and Mike Brown is how hard the guy practices...guess I have a different view of the whole "stealin money" concept, lol (whats he at 1.8?)

We agree that its all getting old though, on both ends.

I'm still trying to figure out WTF he's talking about anyway when he made those comments?

What exactly is he losing again besides games?

Just to be clear, we've spent the last two-three weeks bitching about guys like Garnett, Wade, Amare, Nash and so on needing to shut up cause they'll be good and needing to hear from lesser players and 'rank and file' guys and all this other stuff for non-superstar players who'll actually be affected by missing checks and pretending like these are the guys we should feel bad for and trumpting those guys horns. Leon Powe speaks up and cause we don't like what he said he needs to STFU too? Okay, interesting.

I didnt tell powe to shut up in those terms but I think in light that he needs to at least not sound like he only went to school up til the 6th grade before talking about what should be paid to him

..and 24th yeah Dice came in here mad because WTF told Powe to shut up (where i responded let him talk please lol), then put up a Steve Nash quote and asked if that was rebukable also? Its really not that serious...

Goodness man, its not like people are telling every player to shut up, some are saying some things that are making the owners looking like the good guys because they sound so freaking dumb, thats the problem, and the public perception is further in the toilet every time they say something outlandish and dumb

As far as da throne, bruh you got it all wrong, there aint no us vs them... Some of us realize the reality of life right now and we see what needs to happen for the league to survive without collapsing, and you should know since your Hornets should be a contracted team right now if not for the L stepping in to buy it

I dont care if the entire league is 100% equally competetive, but one thing I do know, is that things need to change and its not just player salaries given out..thats apart of a problem thats been building for years, and now everyone that claims ah the nba is fine sees now that its not fine... if they continue as is, it'll be even worse off 10 years from now
