Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
As long expected, the two sides have moved closer to a “50-50 split, give or take a point with ranges based on revenue performance,” one source said.
While the league’s owners and players made progress in Wednesday’s 8½-hour mediation session, one source involved in the talks was hesitant to characterize it as a “breakthrough” moment, saying system issues could again derail talks. The two sides will resume mediation at 2 p.m. ET Thursday following the conclusion of the owners’ board of governors meetings. The owners are meeting to discuss a new revenue-sharing plan, and what type of proposal they present to the players on Thursday will determine whether the labor talks continue to gather momentum.

If a players isn't pro owner he should STFU or he's another dumb player running his mouth. God forbid the people who are actually affect by all this actually having an opinion. You looking at the Chair MAN!

And by no means am I saying that what Powe is saying is wrong either. But just don't make it seem like "Oh so and so player is talking so he's an idiot". I posted some comments from Shane Battier and I didn't see anybody dogging him for "having an opinion".
And in all seriousness, what exactly does he mean when they have to make everything that was lost? Only thing I can think he meant were the games but those are already gone so what else is he talking about?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Just to tick off the "pro player" side on OS, I hope that the season is cancelled, and those who want to come back and play for JUST THEIR CONTRACT, no split in BRI, no say in the league revenue sharing...
Let them do their job, earn their paycheck for their contract... and then see how "fair" they think it is. I'm sure that all of the sudden, 46% of BRI would look awfully good to them.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
I just don't understand how people can be in favor of one side getting everything during negotations. We all know/knew this had to be a pro owner CBA everybody is all for that. What's not OK IMO is an owners only CBA when you consider how drastic these changes are.Last edited by da ThRONe; 10-19-2011, 09:17 PM.You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Oh look, the tired, we are bashing only players aspect. Can't let it go can you?
We all have said both parties are at fault. We would tell owners to STFU as well, but oh wait, they don't speak out.
Get over this thing already.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Players dont want a hard cap
and its the same old tired arguments all over again
Leon Powe is hardly someone who should be speaking out when in fact he has just benefitted out of this world for doing nothing, all because the contracts are guaranteed...then he has the nerve to say 'we"...he surely would never open his mouth if this was the NFL
but anyway, what I care about is that this issue gets fixed, for the game itself to survive, I could care less about these dudes whining over what they cant get ,and I could care less for the pocketbook of the dude paying Shard his salary
In the end, do what it takes to fix the system, and like it or not its gutcheck time. Welcome to the rest of the worldComment

Leon Powe can shut his loud mouth up.
I saw this bastard sit on the bench and not play for about two and a half years and do nothing but suck up money. Of course he would not care about missing a season.Too Old To Game Club

I actually don't have a problem with them opening their mouths. I have an issue with them being uninformed and inarticulate.Comment
