Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Little strong no? There's pretty much no chance that people don't know that there's a lockout in the NBA right now. If someone doesn't know, they aren't relevant because it means they don't watch sports at all, cause if they did, they'd have seen it on Sportscenter, they'd have heard the mention during an NFL game, or in the newspaper or mentioned on the sports segment of the local news. Don't care? Maybe, but if we're talking about how successful last season was for the league, then I'd like to think that someone besides hardcore hoop heads care. So that's a little more on point than saying most people don't even know what's going on.Comment

I said it before the lockout, and I've said during. KG needs to be banned from all meetings.
Sources say Garnett was 'defiant, determined and downright ornery.'
As one league official said, “We were making progress, until Garnett [expletive] everything up.”
Regardless of how long the lockout lasts, it will be the players and not the owners that bring the NBA positive publicity again after the labor dispute is settled.
"We can’t have completely poisoned waters here when this is over,” one front-office executive said. “Stern gets that, but I’m not sure all of our owners do. We have to have these guys on board, or where are we as a league?”Comment

Something tells me there's more to that story because I doubt KG is THE reason something didn't get done.
Did he help the situation? Probably not but I don't think he was the difference between a deal getting done.#RespectTheCultureComment

Was that today? Or was that yesterday's meeting that KG was messing around in?
Why have one of the biggest chumps in the league be one of the biggest voices in the lockout negotiations? Dude needs to back away from the meetings and realize he's on his way out... be gracious for what the game has given him in his "prime" years. Can not stand the guy.Twitter - WTF_OS

Casuals pay attention to basketball in January/Feb. If there is basketball in December, the casuals wont care that the NBA missed a month.Comment

And why would they want to watch Basketball in January/February?#RespectTheCultureComment

I'm a huge NBA fan but if the lockout goes until '12 I'll be pissed but i'll adjust. I will just watch more football, college basketball and the UFC.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Once the playoffs begin and bowl season is over, people turn their attention to basketball. In January, most people's teams have been eliminated, no fantasy football and the ramp up begins for March Madness. January is the start.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Also, they half coast through the season anyway
Rules are softer..players dont live up to their pay and the NBA always has to either manufacture some drama or some fake rivalry that dies after the game that plays to try to garner interest
That model just doesnt workComment
