Thats pretty much what im expecting as Reggie Miller said, about 50 games

Id be shocked to see no season at all because I think some of the players wont care about the we stand united front that these stars are putting on

1st no team will be forced to sign any players for any length. Management has to be able to take some responsibility and show some restraint.

As a player I rather sign a 8 year deal with an opt out clause in 4. Rather than just signing a 4 year deal. If as a player is slightly under performing it's less likely they would be teams will opt out or ask to restructure my deal if my pay is reasonable for 4 more years. If my deal is done in 4 and my vaule is lower than it was when I signed. I'm more than likely will have to sign for less with the current team or will be worth less on the open market. For the players it gives them a little more security. Players will be more likely to opt out for being slightly underpaid than teams will be to opt out of a contract of a player who is slightly under performing.
Ok that's pretty valid, I don't necessarily agree with it but I can understand how that could be one of the owner givebacks. I don't see it happening though, especially when we start talking 8-10 year deals and such.

Yeah at this point I'd be absolutely shocked if any deals get made before Stern sets a firm deadline for canceling the whole season.

I dont think he wants a cancelled season either, but his hand might be forced to do it because the owners wont be budging. When LeBron did the decision and said it will change the nba forever, I dont think he knew what he was really saying. ... its never going to be the same for sure, and he might've been the last straw that set it all off

What percentage of them do you think have college degrees? How about advanced degrees? Now what about those same questions when it comes to ownership?

Would you let many of these NBA reps handle your affairs? I sure as hell wouldn't.

In a battle of financial attrition and shrewdness this is not an even battle. You think it's a coincidence such a high percentage of these guys end up broke shortly after their careers end?

I have a good feeling about today. I think the mediator is going to solve a lot of problems for everyone.

I can't call it myself. I still dont see the owners backing down from their stance and the players better keep KG and Wade away

He's going to have to help solve some of these problems though, since he's really the last option both of them have where they can still save at least most of the season.

Yeah I agree... does he have longer than one day though?

Seems like such a short time to weed through the stacks of issues

I would imagine that if there's some form of progress Stern will back off the deadline to allow more time to hammer away at things. As you said, one day is just not enough to get through all this stuff.

Kinda weird to set one day for something like this..unless this guy is a genius and works really fast or just has some really tough processes that work...then its kinda weird, but you guys say it worked for the nfl right
