B.Hunter said players did not move off asking for 52.5 percent on BRI split, and owners pulled 50/50 offer and went back to 47 percent.

Hold up, the owners are offering the players 47% now? That would mean the owners gain 10 percentage points/year over the last CBA! That's ludicrous!

Its still a 50/50 offer. Hunter told the press that but the owners sources are denying it. Wouldnt be the first lie by either side (Stern lied about the original 50% offer and the Union lied about Holt's "make them feel pain" statement)

Based on Hunter's account, corroborated by sources, league characterized its position on players' share as 47, but willing to go to 50.

Still optimistic that a deal will be done early next week. They've come too far now. They have shown in the past three days that they are willing to talk in good faith. This zero-hour sticking-to-your-guns by both sides is a common tactic in these type of negotiations. I have a feeling that the owners and the players will talk amongst themselves over the weekend and one of the sides will come off their number during the next session - probably the players.

Stern is a sneaky ****. Threw in that "agents" told Hunter to not go under 52%

Stern says no way for an 82 season now.
