Deals typically done when both sides see something they don't like but could live with. Hunter and Stern both sound that way tonight.

It sounded like Fisher, Hunter want to dissect the offer w/player reps and try to negotiate more. Stern indicating negotiations are over.

Just a gut feeling, but we're going to have NBA basketball soon. Just a gut feeling, but that day will be Dec. 15.

        KevinDing KEVIN DING
After all this, to miss only 10 games of basketball? If players wind up refusing, they'll look like the bad guys.

That press conference just left me filled with a feeling of terrible sadness. I have no faith in the union to do whats best for themselves or the fans (NBA on Christmas!) despite the fact that this is seemingly the best offer they're going to get. I just want this to be over already.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

                Please accept the offer

I can live with 72 games and the season starting on December 15. Just don't drag this out any longer and get it over with!

I think if this is voted on, we are good to go.

Players can say what they want, but when your in that private booth, I think the will to play basketball will overcome.

Honestly, when NBA union exec Billy Hunter says "It's not the greatest proposal in the world," I hear "Hey, everybody! We got a deal!"

Yeah, that really struck me as well. Maybe the guys arent the most capable when it comes to that kind of technology or something I have no idea. Maybe the union just wants to drag it out and foolishly make Stern sweat? I get that some stuff is better to do in person but seriously thats just wasting time.

#NBPA may want until Mon to get signatures for decert. petition. If it has enough, PA can bring to #NBA & say "give us this, or we decert."

Have to admire owners' strategy. Revised offer puts onus squarely on players to accept deal -- bad or not -- or be blamed for armageddon.

The owners' offer is a 50-50 BRI split, sources say. But early indications are, not as meaningfully different on system as Stern portrayed.

Owners tweaked sign-and-trades for tax teams, forbidden under previous proposal, "slightly," source says.

Mini mid-level, as I reported earlier, goes from two years starting at $2.5M every other year for tax teams, to three years starting at $3M.
