Bro let me let you in on a little secret. If the deal isn't reached by next week or whatever, decertification and owners reset proposal is coming i.e. no season. This is actually the end game right here.

Uh oh. I just got this text from an NBPA source: "No deal. Total BS. The deal got worse. No season."

Changes in owners new proposal: mini midlevel for luxury tax teams from $2.5 million every other year to $3 million EVERY YEAR

            Chris_Broussard Chris Broussard
Luxury tax teams will be able to do sign-&-trades for first 2 years of deal...new exception worth $2.5 mill...increase minimum team payroll

            Chris_Broussard Chris Broussard
Raise annual salary increases...union says problem is that owners changed definition of tax payer in way that would destroy Bird rights and

            Chris_Broussard Chris Broussard
make it nearly impossible to be a tax payer so exceptions would be lost anyway

            Chris_Broussard Chris Broussard
Owners phase in of sign-&-trade for tax teams is big.Means Dwight, CP3, DWill & Nash could all be signed-&-traded.That keeps LAL n hunt 4 DH

The union reps almost unanimously rejected the NBA's last offer. If this is worse, no way executive comittee and team reps accept on Monday.

              here we go again

How is it a worst deal? LOL. Thats just ridiculous. Increases in salary cap and floor. New Mini-mid. No changes to bird rights or sign and trades.

Well it looks like armageddon is coming. There are only so many times you can call Stern's bluff before he's forced to do something.

You always hear the negative, you never hear people that just say, hey I want to play. If this goes to a vote of the players, they will be playing basketball.

I wonder what kind of world they live in.
They complain about millions of $ they get each year and still they crying about a % or two.

I am on the owners side right now. I don't like them though, they are *******s to their fullest bc they are basiclly businessmen who want to earn hard cash and don't give a damn about basketball. But they have points. First and foremost the league needs to stay competetive. I don't wanna see a superstar trio like the Heat and I don't want Paul or Dwight to go to NY or LA.
I want them stars on diffrent teams. I'm okay with a superstar duo like Amare and Melo if there is no thrid star around the. We need a balance and we won't get that if money rules the NBA.

If they don't agree with the offer, the season is gone and I go crazy and hate all players forever. This is just bulll****.

We could have had a season for almost 2 weeks now. Sad, but c.r.e.a.m. and that sucks.

If this deal is worse, what exactly were they talking about and making "progress" on for the past 2 days.....geez.

I honestly dont think neither side players/owners want to make this deal. The players want the 57% to remain and the owners want that to drop to 47%/46/45/43% or whatever.

I honestly believe these guys (owners/players) are just making it look like there trying to get a deal done when in reality they both know there miles apart on a deal and the season is lost. They're just trying to make it look like something is "trying" to be done.

                          Question:
If the season is lost, what will happen over the summer?

Negoations? What's going on in the 12-13 season?

According to my man @Chris_Broussard, owners' new offer does enable tax teams to make sign-and-trades for first two years of new labor deal

as I said through all of this, progress, almost there, just a few more things to hammer out, dot the i's and cross the t's and the famous the deal is done... Roger Mason kept saying they aren't close, but these guys keep quoting ghost sources instead

I think Mason has been telling the truth the entire time and if they dont accept this deal, they deserve the hardliners offer

I dont care what anyone says at this point, they've had plenty of time to come to an agreement, and now time is not on their side at all.... if they reject this one then just too bad...and calling it a worse deal, I know what the problem is

These guys want their cake and to eat it too
