Yes, but hte current East vs. West format is too unbalanced. If you realigned the conferences you could get some competative finals.

Yea, but remember when Chicago was winning everything. It'll eventually balance out.

However, I think once a team makes the playoffs, east and west should have no effect and all 16 teams should be seeded by wins. That way, it's possible for the best team to play the best team.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

But if it's laid out like that, then the bottom team has close to no chance what-so-ever against the top team. It's a bigger gap in talent between 1 and 16 than 1 and 8.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

That's right and that's a good thing.....may the best team win

That's the way it will look.

This is the way I've said in past post it should look:

                  NATIONAL CONFERENCE
WEST: LA Lakers, Phoenix, Portland, Denver, Golden State
CENTRAL: Chicago, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Memphis, New Orleans
EAST: Philadelphia, New Jersey, Washington, Atlanta, Miami

                  AMERICAN CONFERENCE
WEST: San Antonio, LA Clippers, Seattle, Sacramento, Utah
CENTRAL: Dallas, Houston, Cleveland, Detroit, Indiana
EAST: Boston, NY Knicks, Toronto, Orlando, Charlotte

I agree with Fetter21, unless they are going to throw out the Conference Configurations in the Playoffs and have a Free For-All with all of the playoff teams seeded.

The one thing I disagree with ADW is about the Moutain Conference name. They'll probably call it the Northwest, as that fits better with the geographic profile. Also, maybe they'll change the midwest to the Southwest.

That's the way it will look.

This is the way I've said in past post it should look:

                      NATIONAL CONFERENCE
WEST: LA Lakers, Phoenix, Portland, Denver, Golden State
CENTRAL: Chicago, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Memphis, New Orleans
EAST: Philadelphia, New Jersey, Washington, Atlanta, Miami

                      AMERICAN CONFERENCE
WEST: San Antonio, LA Clippers, Seattle, Sacramento, Utah
CENTRAL: Dallas, Houston, Cleveland, Detroit, Indiana
EAST: Boston, NY Knicks, Toronto, Orlando, Charlotte

I agree with Fetter21, unless they are going to throw out the Conference Configurations in the Playoffs and have a Free For-All with all of the playoff teams seeded.

The one thing I disagree with ADW is about the Moutain Conference name. They'll probably call it the Northwest, as that fits better with the geographic profile. Also, maybe they'll change the midwest to the Southwest.
