Duncan can't be matched for starters and when he is double and tripled, then their backcourt and other load of bench players become that much better and more important.

These are great days for a Spurs fan, we have guards who can shoot and score, great role players and a ton of 3 point shooters. If Rose and Nesterovic can play well, then they will certainly be better than last year.

Oh and I'd take Ginobili over Kittles, Hardaway, Sprewell or Mobley. And I'd take Parker over Francis, Cassel, Billups or Nash too.

no no no...im not takin parker over nash...you see how effective the PAR is with him and nowitski...imagine duncan and nash...billups...push...he had solid season...their identical to me...francis is an all-around guard so it depends on what your looking for...he could board better then parker...

Francis also steals more, scores more, blocks more, assist more, thrills more

And chemistry isn't a factor, because when teams make trades, they don't know how the chemistry will be, I'm going strictly on talent.

I don't really buy into age....I mean Kwame Brown came straight out of high school, Tim Duncan came into the league older, does that mean Kwame has more potential than Duncan, I doubt it. Talent is talent, I don't believe Parker will get much better than what he already is. Tim Duncan's presence is a big help.

Re: Not a matter of IF, but WHEN the Spurs repeat!

Well I am not talking about those choices of players necessarily being 'better' players but either more suited or with more potential.

Ginobili played no minutes last year and has heaps of potential to go with what he has already shown of being a good passer, handy scorer and surprisingly good defender (especially his steal numbers).
Parker, well he is going to keep getting better and better, especially with experience. Sure some of those guys' numbers look better now, but I never said my choices were better players or had better stats.
Sprewell is old and not as consistent scoring-wise as I'd like to see. I've always thought he'd be good in the Spurs but not now and certainly not at the expense of Ginobili.
Francis, well I may be wrong and jumped the gun with Steve Nash but I've always felt Francis to be a stat man and not a win man. I think he is over-rated to the point where he wouldn't do half as much in a top team.
