Re: ****2012 NBA FINALS DISCUSSION THREAD****
In the grand scheme of thing, it wasn't a big deal as I don't think it affected that play and it certainly didn't cause the Thunder to lose or anything like that. It's more a further reflection on the trash that is Joey Crawford. My man Spo was in front of him out on the court and he not only didn't call the tech (which we all know he likes calling his T's whenever the opportunity presents itself and even when it doesn't) he actually moved because his view was being blocked by the coach on the floor.Comment

In Game 2 Durant had 3 rebounds. In Game 3 he had 6 rebounds.
In Game 2 he had 1 assist. In Game 3 he had 0 assists.
Durant is a lethal scorer but he needs to affect the game in other ways, too.EA: Please add in-game saves.Comment

Re: ****2012 NBA FINALS DISCUSSION THREAD****
I dont know why all of you guys are blaming the refs for the outcomes of the games. Yeah they do have bad calls some favoring Miami, some favoring OKC. This is a stage where a true winner will be victorious. Heat have experience when it comes to games where their opponent cuts down a 10 point lead and gets to 1 point with a minute to go and I think they have learned a lot from it and are proving it now. On the other hand OKC is an amazing team but they look too young and confused sometimes during the game. Anything can happen here. Game 4 will be pivotal for both the teams. It will be a huge hit on the confidences of both teams no matter who wins. Durant has showed a will to win but I think Lebron has shown more in the last 2 games and I hope he does show it further.
Even if OKC gets all the calls in the next games and there are many bad calls against Miami, I wouldn't blame the refs and would appreciate Thunder more for the team for their heart to win it all. While playing I have had games where the refs would literally talk to the opposing coaches beforehand and they might give in really bad calls sometimes. IWe won some and we lost some but I never had anyone from our team blame the refs and just thought that maybe we lacked something or maybe the other team just played better.
Blaming the refs isnt the right thing, if a player or a team wants to win more then anything, he/they will do anything and everything for it--------------------------------------------------------------------

Has their been a game in which someone hasn't complained about the refs on here? lol -- this ish kray!#WashedGamerComment

If I remember correctly, Durants first two fouls were garbage.
After that, there was an unnecessary reach in on LeBron (for the third time this series), a 50/50 call on a pump fake, have to stay out of the air on that one, and an ill advised charge attempt. OKC also gave MIA 6 FTs in about a minute on some stupid fouls on 3 pointers.
All in all, this game was not decided by officiating IMO. It was just a great effort by MIA and a fun game to watch overall..Comment

Re: ****2012 NBA FINALS DISCUSSION THREAD****
Pretty good game last night, unfortunately for OKC they really let one slip away. Was exciting to watch, and I definitely appreciated the earlier start as I got to crash out at a reasonable time.
In the words of Matrix, these losers can't even bother with making their free throws, they deserve to lose. All series OKC has struggled making their free throws and it's going to haunt them if/when they get bounced my Miami. They played one of their more complete games of the series and couldn't get it done at the line. When they're having such a hard time making buckets, those freebies are necessary.
OKC's interior defense has done a horrific job helping on drives, and even when Perkins/Ibaka do, it generally turns into a foul. Speaking of which, Ibaka's lack of defensive fundamentals is being put out there for everyone to see. He seems incapable of staying on his feet if his man even touches the ball around the rim. Perkins and Ibaka need to be ready for the dribble drives because that is the bread and butter of Wade/Bron, it surprises me that they seem highly unaware of their defensive positioning.
Miami's defense has been doing a pretty good job at protecting the rim, on the other hand. While Bosh didn't have much of a game by the numbers, he made some great plays defensively that helped put Miami over the top.
Next game will likely be do-or-die for OKC. Don't see them being able to take three straight from Miami. If OKC can pull out a win it's still up in the air.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

One thing for certain when this series is over -- the torch will be passed and whoever wins will be infected with that 'Michael Jordan Syndrome' -- that addicted to rings disease#WashedGamerComment

Re: ****2012 NBA FINALS DISCUSSION THREAD****
I think Scott Brooks should look into playing a little a zone tomorrow. And maybe changing the starting line ups. To match up with the Heat smaller line up.
And in regards to Kevin Durants fouls. I think he needs to figure it out. I would say of all the calls he got. Probably 2 of them were questionable. Everything else looked legit in my opinion.

In watching a few of those YouTube clips I read a post that caught my eye. A few others (24th & Drewski) posted as much here already.
Yep lets blame the Joey Crawford and the rest of the refs for OKC shooting 15-24 from the free throw line, fouling TWO 3 point shooters, and getting out-rebounded....yep.Comment

Just give this thread 24 hours after the game and then it'll go back to the game and not the officials -- those first 23 hours after the game seem to follow this recipe.#WashedGamerComment

Re: ****2012 NBA FINALS DISCUSSION THREAD****
Dude nobody is blaming the refs this game
For the most part those of us talking about the game on Harden, Durant, and to a lesser degree Brooks and WB
Joey always gives you a reason to question things he does, and its usually legit because he has an agendaComment
