I wouldnt mind seeing the Bucks trade Gooden to the Raptors for Fields. Similar contracts but we would probavly use fields at times. Gooden just rots the bench

lol. If I were Raptors and Pistons offered Prince and 2nd pick for Calderon, I wouldn't do it. Guess Grizzlies know they won't be signing back Calderon at end of season, so just wanted to get something for him.

Wonder if Calderon would sign back with Raptors at end of season(for obviously a much cheaper price than his 2012-2013 salary)

When you say "fear of losing him" what do you mean that? Didn't he have like 3 years left on his current deal?

He was under contract through 2014/2015.

You're incorrect. They traded Speights and Ellington to get out of the Luxury tax. They could have kept the squad they had in tact for one last push for the finals before having to make a move in the offseason, and avoid the tax next year. They would have been fine for the rest of the year.

This trade is ignorant. Straight up ridiculous. They're in no position to sign any of the big names this summer, even without Gay.

My bad WTF (since you are a Grizzlies fan). Still, it seemed like a pro-active move. Dumb move certainly though.

I guess they're hoping to run the offense through Gasol now. Which wouldn't be bad considering he's just as gifted a passer as his brother.

He's a gifted passer, he's a gifted everything. Between he and Zbo, and Conley, they still have a great chance at advancing in the playoffs, but they're no longer a contender IMO.

Didn't mean to sound snyde at all, just pissed that they didn't give the guys one more try at a Championship. Proactive or not, suck it Grizzlies new ownership group.

Everyone else is under small contracts.

You should have ridden this year out, seen how far they could have made it, and then trade him around the draft for exponentially more than what they received her. Just terrible.

I can not stand the way this will begin trending in the NBA. /RANT

I like the deal for the Griz, Davis,Prince,&Daye is a good deal for Gay. & Daye could be good still I thibk. He could be a taller version of Klay Thompson, can really shoot

Haddadi must have been real popular in Memphis. Over 300,000 followers on twitter. Real great for a guy who plays not even 10 mins a game.

He'll fit in much better in Toronto(city and team wise) than he did in Memphis.
