Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread
Nets offered Humphris &,Brooks for Smith, ATL said no. so I doubt the Spurs can get him for Splitter & Mills, if Im ATL im asking for Leonard!,1st,Splitter,Comment

I just can't believe the Spurs are involved in this many rumors....lol
Smith would have to play the 4 in our offense...a 3 who can't hit the corner 3 in our offense is pretty useless...Comment

The Suns wanted to trade Dudley & a 1st for Shumpert, as a Bucks fan would the Suns offer the same deal for Ellis? I would hope so if the pick was a unprotected 1stComment

Shumpert and Ellis aren't even close to the same player. Not even sure why you'd make the connection.Comment

New rumor has Boozer going to Brooklyn, Humphries, MarShon Brooks, and Nate Robinson going to Boston, and Terry, Bass, and Fab Melo going to Chicago.Originally posted by billmaticRadman is more like the ******** homeless man's version of Okur.Comment

Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread
im just a Bucks fan looking to trade Ellis, & I saw what Suns offered for Shump, & to me Ellis is clearly the better player between the 2, thats why I asked. Would PHX be interested in Ellis for a similar deal they offered for ShumpComment

Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread
This one is better than the Bargs trade in terms of talent but still Terry and Bass? Come on. Ill take Hump and Brooks for Booze tho.Last edited by JODYE; 02-13-2013, 12:37 PM.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Eh, not sure how that helps the Bulls come 2014 that's a cap number of $57,020,650 and that's without Deng's contract. That doesn't provide Derrick with that second scorer unless they planned on trying to move one or more of those deals by next year's deadline or prior to free agency since all three of those guys are signed through the 14/15 season.Comment

Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread
Do u really think Josh Smith is a Spurs organization type of player?
And Steven Jackson already won w/ them so he's not a good example.
I just dont see Smith w/ his still questionable shot selection being someone who can adapt to Pop's culture. They just dont run after any talent from what i've seen in the last decade.
And I wouldnt gamble on the idea that Pop and the team is going to magically convert Smith into a Spur type player.
Yes, they should be looking towards the future, but I dont see w/ Smith's history that they would want him as the "face" of the franchise after Duncan retires.
Hey u never know, maybe Pop sees something that he could work w/ but i really doubt it.Comment

Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread
But it's comparing apples and oranges. There's really not much about the two to even compare. Style of play, strengths and weaknesses, vet vs potential, money... if a GM is looking for a player like Shumpert, Ellis isn't going to be in the same group on his list and vice versa.Comment

But the Suns have wanted a scoring SG for a while now, went after Eric Gordon,Mayo, wanted Harden. So why not Ellis? He fits that need of scoring SG PHX swems to want.Comment

The difference is Ellis is owed $22 MM the next two seasons while Shumpert is owed $8 MM the next three seasons."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

True about the money differences in each players contract, but I dont think phx is concerned about thatComment
