How so? He has the ability to be a great defender.

Don't see it. Cauley-Stein is better in the post and is more of a shot blocking threat than Embiid. Embiid is a better passer.

WCS is essentially nerlens noel, can be a good help defender and sometimes switch the PnR if needed, but doubt he will ever be a anything more than a role playing shot blocker like greg stiemsma.

as for embiid hes got much more potential, and im talking un measurable advantages here...if he pans out he could be a healthy andrew bynum, but with athletic dominance over most of his competition.

I don't know... I see The Dream out there. WCS looks like Ryan Hollis to me.

I like Cauley-Stein a lot, but I don't think he's as good as Embiid in the post right now. I think Cauley-Stein will be a valuable guy to have on an NBA team though.

Embiid has no post moves so to speak. Cauley-Stein isn't that much better but he is getting a lot better with what he has.

Willie Cauley-Stein has 2 post moves, but he is learning to master them

Both guys have a lot of room to grow. Embiid has more "potential" I'd say, but I don't see the comparison with him and Hakeem right now.

Noel is much better than both Embiid and WCS. He has an uncanny ability (a lot like Drummond in the NBA right now) to pick the ball away from guys driving, and a is a sensational shot blocker, whether it is from the help side or when he is guarding his man. His performance late against Mississippi State last year with 4 fouls was one of the better defensive showings I have seen in recent memory.
I still find it hilarious that Cleveland picked Bennett over him, but that has nothing to do with this draft.

Cauley-Stein will just be average. He didn't leave last year for a reason. Teams aren't just dying to have a guy like him and he doesn't show tons of potential like these other guys.

I'm still sleeping on embiid. Not going to fall in love with his potential unless I get him at the tail end of the lottery or in the teens. I'll see what he does tonight and same with wiggins

He would have been a first round pick last year if he left. He's a solid defender and an excellent shot blocker.
I don't think you've watched enough Kentucky games if you say he hasn't shown as much potential as other guys.

Definitely not going to happen. Right now he'd probably be in the 4-7 range. If he continues to improve I think he could be taken anywhere from 1-4 as well. I personally wouldn't take him before Wiggins/Randle/Parker.

He's definitely going to be a top 5 pick unless he gets hurt IMO. Even if some people aren't buying into the hype yet, enough teams are that there's no way he makes it to the teens.

He's not a good offensive player, he's not all that quick, he's not a dominant rebounder.. He's a decent looking defender who's a good shot blocker because he's so tall.. He plays lazy as hell.. Lazy college players don't transition well to the league.

Wiggins looking slow on defense right now against Colorado, wasn't that supposed to be a huge Strength of his? He is playing well offensively right now though.. Doesn't use his right hand near enough though.

Well Wiggins has the leg kick/flop down.. That'll be useful in the league lol

I don't know. Whenever I've seen WCS play, I've thought he outhustled most of the players on the court. I see him beat the other team's guards down the court a lot.

Regarding Wiggins, I thought he looked pretty good on both ends today. Definitely a step up from the past couple games.

meh, not sure u can call noel better than embiid...noel is a defensive player and really has 0 semblance of an offensive game...embiid has the potential to be a very good 2 way player.

---on another note aaron gordon will be the next derrick williams...he really looks uncomfortable with the ball on the perimiter in this unlv-zona game

but speaking on embiid draft position... i think it really depends on the teams...can't think of one who would take him over parker/randle but if a team who really needs a center is picking #1 don't be surprised
