Re: 2014 Draft Class
So I take it Embiid/Wiggins/Exum have the highest potential, while Parker/Randle/Smart are the most NBA ready?Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I watched a few videos on Exum. He's a 6'6 PG with a lot of potential. Mainly due to his size. He creates matchup problems 1-on1 of course. Not only that he can score and pass out in the post from what I have seen. I think that's very rare for a PG to do I mean he can work in the post when a double team is there also. He can rebound well because of his size offensively and defensively. He is creative in P-R situations he has good, but not great ball handling skills and like to attack the rim. He also is very srprisingly explosive with and without the ball. He has great court vision and in general a good basketball IQ on offense.
Defensively has a lot of upside again due to his size he can cover multiple positions. He seems like a great on-ball defender.
Only real weaknesses I see his shooting and his strength. Shooting as in shot selection and percentage. Strength as in he needs to become stronger to play at the next level in the NBA. He's going to get tossed around over here.
Out of all the potentially good players. I think he has the highest. I hope the right team takes him. I think he needs to get drafted to a team that will give a chance to start opening night, because I personally think he's going to be one of the top PGs in the league. I think it may take time for him to develop maybe 2-3 years. But he still needs a chance to start. I am pretty sure some team is going to place him as a SG though, but whatever.Last edited by ClutchCity; 01-09-2014, 12:50 PM.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I know I say this every year. But lets not call anyone bust yet. Bennett is obviously having a bad rookie season.
This preseason game gives him some hope.

He's defiantly not a bust lol. He doesn't get that many minutes to begin with so his numbers are deceiving to stat guru's. Plus I think he had shoulder surgery at the beginning of the year. That has to be one of the reason's for his shooting touch not actually there.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Only slight weakness, as ClutchCity said, is his shooting. However it's definitely improving.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Any thoughts on Zach LaVine? I havent watched any college basketball this year and I've seen a few mock drafts (like ESPN's draft lottery machine) that have the Lakers taking him. I've watched a few videos of him and read some scouting reports and from what I've gathered he's a combo guard who can handle the ball like the 1 with a sweet shooting stroke and great athleticism, but he needs more weight and doesn't look to create for his teammates. Sounds like a Russel Westbrook with a better shot. I really hope the Lakers draft him, plus he's from UCLA.

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I've saw him only two or three times so my input might not have much value lol.. But I think he has the potential, but he's just really wirey and skinny... I think he could really benefit from staying another year or two... But if a team takes him that high I would understand, I just feel there are safer picks. But after seeing what Carter-Williams is doing this year the idea of taking a tall athletic combo guard doesn't seem like a bad idea lol.Comment
