Maybe it's not lack of effort then. He look lazy to me in half court sets, slow rotating.. Not lazy as in running up and down.. Maybe it's not laziness, maybe it's just lack of awareness getting lost on plays.I don't know. Whenever I've seen WCS play, I've thought he outhustled most of the players on the court. I see him beat the other team's guards down the court a lot.
Regarding Wiggins, I thought he looked pretty good on both ends today. Definitely a step up from the past couple games.
I only caught the last 8 minutes or so. Wiggins kept getting took off the dribble. Fatigue could have been a factor at that point though.Last edited by ojandpizza; 12-07-2013, 07:43 PM.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I just can't think of any of the teams who should pick Randle over Parker or probably even Wiggins and Smart.. Maybe a team who already has lots of talent.. I just think he'll develop a little slower on the next stage. Don't see him being the immediate go-to rookie some of these other guys might be.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
what if you already have a SF and PF you want already? i cant think of a single team who would be picking #1 who has said lineup off the top of my head but if they really want a center who knows.. i dont think he will be top 3, but i wont be suprised if he isComment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Don't forget Marcus Smart. Depending on the team, he could go from 2 to any position. Yet I think Jabari is a lock for 1. He's crazy. Wiggins is a bit of a gamble imo, he could turn out as the best player in his class (which means franchise player) but also could turn out as an athletic swingman only. I also have Randle on 2 right now, he's a bigman with skill, teams drafting high love that.
I wish for the Kings to get a high lottery pick...they are fun to watch already and they are losing. They're Marcus Smart away from becoming serious business.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
eh, i think sac takes parker or randle over smart, they need an upgrade in all 3 spots, so you just take best player thereComment

Picking need over talent has never done anyone any good ever.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
lol sorry weird *** control paste typo.
what im saying is you DONT take the best talent if you dont need it..
thats essentially saying the blazers would take a PG because hes the best player, but what purpose would that serve them.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Historically taking need over the best player there. There's far more cases that lead on the talent side.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Well obviously there are exceptions but most of the time you would be better off picking best player available in my opinion.

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I'll say this to you as well. I don't think you watched many Kentucky games. Noel is a fantastic defender. The best defensive player I have seen at Kentucky. His offense needs a lot of work, but he showed some promise there before the knee injury. He showed he was a good passer out of the post and was developing a bit of a hook shot before he got injured. Noel has the potential to be dominant on one side of the ball and decent on the other. Isn't that what Dwight Howard is? I'm obviously not comparing the two.
Regarding the need/talent thing, like Ex said there are obvious exceptions, but you pick the most talented player and try and make it work. If you have a top SF already but have a chance to get Wiggins or Parker you take them over reaching for someone that fits a "need". In the NBA more than any other sport, a star can change the complete outlook of a franchise, and for the teams that can't get the top FA's, you have to take that chance.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals
