Re: 2014 Draft Class
Randle just needs to show me he can do something besides bull his way to the lane and shoot that one handed push shot.
Obviously he's very talented and athletic, but I need to know he has a post fade-a-way or a good midrange jumpshot, just something.. Not sure if he can finish right handed either.
Just don't see him bulling his way to wherever he wants as a rookie. Lots of NBA guys will be as quick as him, and those who aren't can just lay off a little. And they should be able to stand their ground against him. He wasn't nudging Gathers around the other night, I think his game will need the most adjusting.
He'll be a good player, I just think the process will be a little slower for him at the next level.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I think that's one of the dumber things he's said. Most bigs don't develop their post-games until they get to the League. Natural maturity + working with experienced coaches + practicing against the best + less teams that play zone. I could go on & on.
I can name maybe a handful of players in the last 20 years that had decent post games in college. Timmy, Zbo, Grandmama, Laettner (maybe but he had a good face-up game), Elton Brand, Boozer, maybe Boogie.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Hell Hakeem didn't have his full arsenal in his first few years. That's such a stupid statement.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I can't remember off the top of my head, but I think one of his other recent games was more impressive than the Duke game. Maybe against Colorado? I can't remember. But he really asserted himself in the 2nd half and looked great.NFL: Bills

Didn't see the game but great to see Cauley-Stein with another 9 block performance. He has the ability to be a very good defensive player inside. Offensive game needs improvements still though.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Also, Kansas has struggled the past few games, but you can tell they're gradually opening things up more for Wiggins IMO. He's starting to be the one bringing the ball up in transition instead of just filling lanes, starting to design 3 point plays for him, etc.NFL: Bills

Re: 2014 Draft Class
He still needs to work on his ball handling. And in the halfcourt he could use a pull-jumper. I've seen some terrible shots by him. But he'll learn. I'd like see games where goes in from the get go.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
