I will laugh my butt off if the Cavs trade this pick for a "solid" vet and a top 10 pick lol.

Re: 2014 Draft Discussion
I feel if you're Cleveland, you have to take Wiggins.
You're not going to be as upset missing out as Embiid as you would if you missed out on Wiggins while possessing the number one pick.
The way the game is played now, Wiggins is the ideal prospect. Elite all-around athleticism, and can create his own shot consistently (Will need to improve his ball handling at next level). The strength will come and his shot will improve (he already has great form). You pair him alongside Irving and you have a back court that you can expect to be around for years to come.
Not to mention the giant question marks regarding Embiid's durability.Last edited by JODYE; 05-21-2014, 09:17 AM.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: 2014 Draft Discussion
They've put it out there that they are totally listening and open to trading the #1 pick this year. Like Sacramento they are tired of "young" talent and want vets. But this year I would never say I am opening to trading a top 3 pick unless you are giving me a guaranteed young healthy superstar. All three guys Wiggins, Parker and Embid have to much potential for me to entertain a trade for a solid vet and a top 10 pick.
But hey I wish Charlotte had a solid vet to give up and trade the 9 and 24 pick. I'd gladly take Parker or Wiggins in the QCThe Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.Comment

Where are the Gerald Green/Andrew Wiggins comparisons coming from? Does not compute#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Draft Discussion
I think Cleveland puts together a trade package involving any two of Thompson, Waiters, Varejao, and/or Bennett and the number one overall pick for Kevin Love.
Not sure how Minnesota can say no to that. You looking at the Chair MAN!
Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Discussion
With that said, I fear Wiggins could end up being the caliber of player Green was this year or slightly better, which wasn't bad but not an All-Star. The potential is there though... and the desire to be great defensively is something that is lost on most of the 'star' players these days
Again, I'd take Wiggins or Embiid no question unless Embiid's back is shot, which I wouldn't be surprised.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Discussion
Yeah that's idiotic, that might just be smoke and mirrors. But who knows, it's the Cavs...I mean they hired Mike Brown after they fired him a few years ago and then gave him a 5 year contract last year and fired him after his first season so...

Minnesota would love it. Cleveland wouldn't. Love would be gone the next year and Bron isn't coming back. The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.Comment
