in about 2 years 2/3 of the 1st round will consist of foreign players.

it's getting to the point where a NBA team can't really draft a player who will make an impact next season. All these high schoolers and guys coming out after 1 year of college kill that. There won't be LeBron and Melo every year. We have Okafor this year, but I'd be in favor of this rule change, should it happen.

Quick question though, wouldn't this get challenged in the courts like the NFL rule?

I think if its agreed to in a CBA, then it can't be challenged in court.

I'm still in favor of adding 2-3 rounds to the draft and setting up the NBDL to be a usable minor league system for NBA teams. There would be undrafted FA on those teams along with players that are relegated off of NBA rosters.

very interesting, and I think you're right about that. If the unions agree to it, then it'd be legit. I hope this goes through, because way too many kids come out early and kill any chance at a career
