I agree, there should be no dunks or layups allowed. The Lakers have barely been in foul trouble the last two games. They should really send a statement to whoever gets into the paint that they will not be able to finish easy. I don't want anyone to get intentionally hurt, but it's been too easy for those guys to drive and score at the bucket. Bodies need to be hitting the floor.

C'mon man. They let Houston do it in the entire series. The Lakers don't play that kind of ball. Other than Karl Malone. I don't want to see him hit anyone because that dude is dirty. He'll end up elbowing 30 stiches in TD's mouth.

      That's it for the Lakers.
They dont have anyone who can stop Duncan or Parker.

      Payton, the Glove?? Whatever...
He didnt do anything much for the Lakers all season.

Spurs will win 4-1 or 4-0 and go on to win the NBA championship.

If Gary was in another system he'd be a "playmaker" too. Because of the system that the Lakers run Gary doesn't have the privilege to run pick and rolls and isolate a defender at the top of the key. I think the reason why people doesn't say Gary controls tempo is because he doesn't have the ball in his hands long enough to warrant it. The Laker's Triangle dictates tempo. Their offense is a slow and mithodical type of offense.

Which is why the Spurs take advantage of it. I just think the Lakers should take of some of the advantages they have just to "mix" it up a bit.

I never thought George was the answer either. IMO George is a confidence type player. When everyone was healthy at the beginning of the year he was exceptional. He had more open looks then. When the other quys started getting hurt, teams were able to concentrate more on George. His confidence left him and his game is as it is now. As for Rush and Cook, give them time they might change your mind in a couple of years. I'm not totally sold on Walton yet. Until he gets a shot, IMO he's useless.

all this talk about a hard foul on parker makes me laugh. the lakers aren't even stopping the ball, much less getting in position for a foul! parker's going to the rim and the other lakers are looking at each other, every once in a while shaq jumps but still can't get to the shot. the lakers knocked parker down a couple of times in game 1, and he just got up and hit free throws.

Good analysis, but GP knew what the system was before he came. He played against the Bulls in the finals when they used it. He should'nt be complaining or fighting what has already been an established system.

What I meant by Rush and Cook is that they are young and inexperienced. I figured the Lakers would lose yesterday when they started shooting 3's like NBA 2004 on all-star mode. That's a no no. Remember NVE's famous quote.

Rush needs to improve on his defense though. He's too one dimensional at the moment.

Anyhow, if one of these guys decide to take the next game into their own hands instead of lose, they will lose. If Karl or Gary says, I'm not getting 1 mil this year for nothing and decides to just try to take it, it won't work. Same for Shaq and Kobe. They don't get the role players involved enough, they'll squander in the end.

I think LA would have been better if they had just picked up Benedict Arnold, I mean Elbows Malone.
